Make-Shift grow room ideas

Okay, my first grow.... in a LONG TIME
throwing seeds behind the Mothers garden is years in the past. I am going to start a 1-3 plant grow.

What are some good cheap sources to start out..

Can I build a small "room" in a refrigerator box lined with foil?

What is a CHEAP light source?

not too worried about smells, I live on several acres of wooded lot and can not see my neighbors house on any side.... should small fans be adequate?

what is a recommended strain for such a grow space, and a beginners touch?

Ideas? and recommendations

A plastic barrel, garbage can, or fridge would be big enough for a plant. However, if you are going to have it in a shed or a garage, why not just build a room? If you are planning on just putting it outside, a garbage can or barrel would be just as good. Maybe spraypaint the inside silver or flat white. Foil isn't that great. Make sure your electrical wire is hidden on the way to whatever you are using, bury it in the ground. You could probably cut the smell a lot by just running the exhaust into a bucket of water or something like that.

You could build a sandbag building. They last a long time, and are cheap. It would give you a proper room that would be all but invisible from the sky (it would look like a dirt pile). Maybe 20 bucks in bags and a shovel would get the room built for you. It doesn't have to last forever, right?

I have a very small cupboard for a growspace and i spent a miniscule amount of money on my grow, I dismantled table lamps and hung the wire on top of the plants with a cfl bulb in the socket i had about five of these for two plants. I didn't use a fan, i just opened the door a few times a day for air circulation, i spent 1.99 on a bottle of multipurpose nutrients. right now i'm drying will probably be around 2 ounces. This just shows it can be done on the cheap but you are far better off forking out the cash. :peace:
