Master Sensei -- Pineapple AK auto

Alright, so I'm gonna try autos---or, AN auto---one more time! My last run of FastBuds Lemon Pies wasn't so great. Big airy buds, lacked terps, dunno what happened.

This time, I'm going back to another breeder I've tried before; Master Sensei Genetics. I've grown his Banana Durban auto, which was good smoke, had a nice oldschool taste and effect, like the greenbud I used to get back in the 90s. For this particular single-plant auto run, I'm going with Pineapple AK.

Drop date: 01-13. Sprout date: 01-17

Gonna run this solo in a 2x2, Bloom Plus BP1000. Coco grow. I'm considering a 24hr light cycle but will probably do like 20/4 or 18/6, maybe even 19/5.

Im enjoying the autos. I like how quick everything happens but i would enjoy them more if they were slightly bigger or vegged for slightly longer but i know im probably not getting the best of out of them yet due to inexperience. My latest auto in flower is doing great though, big fat buds... the plant would have been a lot bigger but i snapped a couple of main stems trying to LST early on.

I've grown about 6 total auto plants in my grow career, 3 were under a CMH (the FastBuds Lemon Pies that I mentioned, in fact) and those vegged like CRAZY. Maybe autos need bluer light and/or more heat to veg them out more? Dunno.

Is that coco or soil?

I've transplanted AND topped this plant. Both are general no-no's for autos, but, if you're careful it'll work for ya. She looks a little light on magnesium but otherwise, truckin along nicely.

The seed-drops are testers from Budderton; Carl's Shoes x Meat Breath, both ThugPug strains.

I snapped one of the mains off getting a lil torquey with my ties. I have this new LST method where I scoot the ties down the branch as they grow, and give the ties a twist or two which toques down the branches again.

Small for 6 weeks, but I kinda did that on purpose, I didn't want it blowing up in the 2x2. Should start flowering soon.

Ahhh I’m going for the autos add a new one every 3 weeks or so so that after the first 12 week wait. Each wait is hopefully only 3 weeks after. Nice new strain. Start a lovely wee collection

Oh, another worthy update. .

So, I was running this plant on 20/4 for the first 5 weeks. It would sleep HARD during and after lights-out so I reduced lighting to 17/7. This has kept it more "springy", doesn't droop as hard.

Plants don't sleep.

Perhaps you were having light stress due to intense lighting for extended time periods which would lead to exceeding the plants max DLI.

My last experience with an auto. It was a canna meal grow anyways but still, it was pathetic. Gorilla Glue #4 from Growers Choice Seeds.

My buddy threw me some auto beans. I kept a small branch just to see what it truly was.
I'll stick to photos, mabey i just haven't come across a decent bean. Idk It was a very hot summer and I didn't fire up the ac, so temps were easily 90F

You seem pretty confident in the breeders of your seeds. I'm interested to see yours though.
