From what I've heard some of the stuff in pvc can get into your extract. I have no idea if that's true or not but it came from a pretty reliable source. IDK, I'd stay away from pvc. You need to find a way to get a glass tube.I have been using a 1.5 inch pvc pipe with 2 coffee filters and a hose clamp..looking to get a glass tube or maybe I will just use a stainless piece of pipe next time.
mmm phalates (plasticizers) from PVC give the oil that special plastic texture that dispensaries love so much. From what I've heard some of the stuff in pvc can get into your extract. dont do it !!! naptha is toxic. You would have to develop an exact science able to sow complete in weights, and complete out weights to guarantee solvent removal. naptha is pint thinner, be smart. on the cheap, 99% alcohol is the whipthinking of using naptha in my next extraction . . . . .anyone have any expierecen with this . . .
naptha is poison ! butane in is the polarity you seek, stop looking any further! lol. no scraping needed. put a drop of 99% iso in the res in the beginning, it will facilitate the pouring of the already warmed extract, and then allow you to freexe it, micron filter it, and enjoy anOne thing that I really want to figure out before it gets here is what is the 'best' transport solvent.
They provide this neat chart with the polarity and soluability and gleaming from that info I would assume naptha would be excellent for it but in all the text it refers to using either acetone or ISO which has me a little confused.
I really don't see myself wanting to 'scrape' the goods out afterwards like allot of people do, seems to kinda defete the purpose of such a clean and mean looking extractor.
I pretty much only smoke bho made with a tamisium. for the safety aspect if anything. Phillips Rx is hash king, and he uses Tamis.
i have done a ton of runs in my tami and am unable to make honeycomb. i can vac purge under heat (120-130 degrees) for days and still get nothing but a nicely purged oil/sap/shatter/pick a name you like that is stable at room temp.
another solution for filtering, which i use, is a steel disc filter. http://www.mcmaster.com/#ultra-fine-filtering-discs/=k4htp9
i use one on the top and bottom. i mark the discs and flip the bottom one and put it at the top on the next run so that the butane rushing into the chamber basically cleans the disc. well, that is the theory behind me doing it
im pretty sure my writing skills are fine...dude, you really need to work on your writing skills... really hard to understand you :/
im sorry im not understanding how the machine its made with effects the potency etc? or ur just saying u only smoke wax made from a tami, cuz you know the people that made it were safe when they did it? sorry not follwin...
tami is cool, but 2 hours to reclaim gas?...ehhhh
also, you posted that can refills are 80% butane?...
thats pretty misinforific...i guess not as misinfo as 20%...lol
vector is 89% butane
and there are several with more and less...
most people use vector, vector is 89% butane 11 pro...
colibri is closer to what u posted..def way more propane that other brands...
ive heard of brands that are 66% n 1% propane n the rest iso....
want efficiency? safety? to not waste hours reclaiming gas thats cheap anyways? wanna conserve gas?
