my plant died, can anyone tell me the best soil mix for seedlings, i also think i over watered them, and should i have a fan in my little grow room straight away. grow tent 60x60x 140, i use 125 cfl dual spectrum light, and is it best having my carbon filter going from the begining, and any and all the advice i can get i will be truly grateful, thank you.:dunce::sad::wall::leaf: im sorry i have no photos.

start with miracle grow soil has every thing u need. then stright water for two weeks after they sprout .then use 1/4 the nuts at frist too much nuts is harder to fix than not enough . u can use m.g from start to finish if its your frist grow follow directions on bag.dont over water allow soil to dry out every couple days check p.h so you dont have lock out

do a little research around on this forum for one, lots of good info here. with the soil thats a personal choice, i personally use happy frog soil, but i wait until the seed is sprouted. I use happy frog because it has not a lot of nutes, but some good stuff for growing in. dont overwater either, youll suffocate the roots. you could even add coc coir to the happy frog for added drainage and aeration. let the soil get a little dry in between watering. dont keep your light too close but not too far either, you dont want it to stretch. maybe like 3-4 inches away. with your fan have it blow across the top of the plant in the area between the light and top of plant. oscilating fans work best. make sure your temp and humidity stay reasonable. but do some research!!! read around!!

don't use miracle grow. Try out foxfarm ocean forest. It is made for growing in pots, it has great drainage and you don't need to add any nutrients until flower. All you need to do is give ph correct water to them and they have everything else they need already in the soil. I have heard happy frog works great too. But i have been using Ocean forest for a long time and have had many great grows because of it.

i do not recommend ocean forest for seedlings. it is too hot as is. if you do, use another type of soil such as light warrior or happy frog or even mg. seedlings are a sensitive sort. I use ocean forest in bloom only.

agree to disagree then. Ive been using it for years. It even says it's specifically for vegetation including seedlings and clones. try it out man you wont be disappointed. you can get it in england.

not sayin at all that its bad soil. I just prefer happy frog for veg. I do use ocean forest and do agree that its great soil. some strains are just a little more sensitive to it is all.
