My town of Berkshire NY has "opt'ed in" to cannabis lounges and dispensaries.

Am wondering how the Cannabis lounges are going to work......

I am thinking coffee shop? Maybe run some board games?

Or better yet, coffee shop/laundry mat with internet hook up... Sit around smoking weed doing your laundry, drinking coffee...

If I did one it would have to serve burger and fries for the morning munchies, better yet if new York would have to do like a smoke lounge and

I had this vision years and years ago just hanging out with my friends sitting at the couch watching tv or the game. Or playing games. Always said what we’re doing should be turned into a business idea. Just a smoke and chill. I’m assuming people still so that. Get together for a smoke sesh specifically.

I don't know how it will work inside the smoking lounge, but I bet you better have a way to get out of there without getting in a car and driving off. That's because most of the cops in the American Police State are moralists who don't care about anything but slapping cuffs on you.

Then they would have to plant shop at normals bars to then. And sit and watch and follow every person who left

I think a great biz would be a high-end B&B where guests came for a week or whatever and had pairings, music, massage, etc. like a posh getaway really tailored. Low volume but high margin.
I bought my current house specifically for this reason. Lol. And my town just opted in too…

wonder if can get around it by riding in and out on horse and buggy
I've never seen an Amish person pulled over...... lol....

No joke I have seen them get busted for meth and stuff though, some of them go to the "wild side" just like everybody else.

sounds like a place I’d go! The issue I see with the “bar/coffee shop” is the driving risk? I could be wrong cause bars do it w/ alcohol lol

I think what it's going to amount to here is, and this was explained by our lawmakers, that if you are visibly impaired that you are open to arrest if driving.

Since there is no test, and drug recognition experts are "iffy" in a court of law. They are going to treat it like if you were impaired on over the counter drugs or sleeping pills and if you get into an accident after being at a "lounge" you're going to be open to all sorts of lawsuits.

Both the driver and the lounge who let them leave.

Bars let people leave all the time. Hell. They kick em out.
