I have delayed gastric emptying (Gastroparesis) and I have to smoke every meal or I will get nausea and vomiting.

What is happening to me is that after I eat I will smoke to stop the nausea and usually I'm good until I eat again Sometimes about 2 hours after eating I will start to feel really high again and it's and uncomfortable high!!! Then about 15 mins after that I will start to feel nauseous again. So I just smoke some more and the nausea will go away but the really weird thing is my high will also go down alot?

Now when I start to feel the things increasing I just smoke a bit more and all is good. I just would like to know why this happens.

I live in a state that doesn't have MMJ so I get what I can get no choices around here.

The good stuff around here doesn't help my nausea unless I get really high but he ol' brick weed I don't have to get no where near as high to help.

I have tried cbd alone numerous times and it didn't help,

I have no idea about your situation but sympathize. I was wondering about a delayed capsule to dissolve in the intestine instead of the stomach. Would make it any worse or any better? It would be a trick to time it right in relation to your metabolism.

Ive also got Gastroparesis. I had stomach surgery last July. I was gagging everyday for the last 6 years before it was properly diagnised, and I was the one to properly diagnose it.

Damage to the Vagus Nerve is what causes Gastroparesis. Weed dont help any. In actuallity, it can make it worse. The vagus nerve control everything from swallowing, to emptying your bowels.
It controls heart rate, blood pressure, adrenal gland.
It also gave me terrible anxiety, and insomnia. I could only sleep an hour a day for almost 2 months. I would sometimes be up 3 straight days, and then only sleep 1 hour. It also makes you not be able to eat much. Just a few bites of food, makes you feel like youve eaten Christmas Dinner.
They also had me on 5 different antidepressants, and they didnt work. They just gave me a headache.
3 weeks after my surgery, I went off the meds, and started eating a good deal again. I had lost 40lbs because of not being able to eat. Unfortunately, Ive now gained it back, and more. I was starving, and now it seems like I cant get enough. I also had to stop running, lifting weights for a good while. I still have some insomnia, and a bit of anxiety. I have to watch how much I smoke, or it increases my anxiety big time, and it increases it for several days.
Gastroparesis ccan also make you dizzy when you go to the bathroom. Ive passed out several times on the throne, and hit my head on the sink legs. Its a sucky condition.
You can also get nausea with GP from low blood sugar. If you dont eat enough, you blood sugar will be low, and if you smoke with low blood sugar, the weed will drive itt even lower making you have nausea, and really dizzy, which can also lead to anxiety.
Use to I could smoke all day, but now, I can only take 1-3 hits of good weed, or I risk anxiety, and getting really dizzy.
The Vagus nerve dysfunction isnt anything to fuck with. I think they say its similar to cannabinoid hyperemesis syndrome except there is no relief from it. Stopping weed doesnt help any.
I also still have trouble drinking, and eating. It gets caught in my throat, and often makes me have to gag to get it back up, or Ill drown, of choke.

It really got worse this past year, 2021, though Ive been having nausea, and trouble drinking, and swallowing for about 6 years. I went to the ER 4 times in 4 days for anxiety, and Insomnia. After the 4th time they told me there was nothing they could do.. Though they didnt do anything anyway. Theres really nothing anyone can do. All you can really do is have the stomach surgery, and hope it works. If the surgery doesnt work, they put a device in you like a pacemaker that stimulates the Vagus nerve. I also had to go 200 miles away for the surgery, as nobody within 200 miles was qualified to do the surgery. I went to Jewish Hospital in Louisville Ky. They also did the first suceccful single, and double hand transplants. They do risky surgeries. The name of the surgery I has is called Pyloraplasty. There a muscle at the bottom of your stomach, the Pyloris muscle, and it attaches to the top of the intestines, and they go in and make it bigger. This speeds up the emptying of the stomach. I also think one of the meds I was given for nausea triggered the insomnia, and anxiety, as those are 2 of the many side effects of the medicine. I had to stop taking it. Metaclopramide is the name.

This resonates. I had issues for years with adrenal production, cortisol issues, anxiety, insomnia and sleep paralysis, breathing issues while sleeping, rapidly fluctuating heart beat and blood pressure, fluctuating temperature, swallowing issues, nausea and food poisoning like symptoms bordering sepsis, ulcers, lack of digestion, bowel backing up into stomach causing sepsis and brown sandy death vomits, occipital neuralgia and migraine. Constant sneezing followed by immediate nausea and vomiting and more.

The anxiety, insomnia, sleep paralysis and depression was brushed off as schizoaffective disorder, the blood pressure and heart rate spikes/ drops were assumed to be anxiety issues. Nothing ever cleared up. They keep checking my kidney for adrenal tumours and found nothing. The sneezing and following dry reaching was put down to chronic sinus.

I had a doctor overlook everything a few weeks ago and he has mentioned Vagas nerve issues, and is referring me to a physiologist.

I'm hoping things move forward.

Have a Gastric Emptying test done. This will tell if you are moving your food through your stomach in a normal rate. Mine wasnt. You can also have a Barium Swallow test done. I flunked both. I also get food, and water stuck in my throat, and have to gag the food, or water back up or Ill choke.

Gastric Emptying test is the main test they give to diagnose Vagus Nerve Damage.
The vagus nerve controls many thing from you throat, to your intestines, and also adrenal glands, blood pressure, and all kinds of things. Its the longest nerve in the body, and is directly involved with the Parasympaththetic Nervous System. A damaged vagus nerve can also cause depression.

You need to see a Gastrointerologist

Vagus Nerve damage is highly overlooked, underdiagnosed, and more common than you think.

I was also having dizzy spells when I had to take a crap. I passed out a couple times, and hit my head on the sink legs. Getting dizzy is a tell tail sign of Vagus Nerve damage.

They had me on 5 different antipsychotic medications, and they didnt help one bit. One of them I took 3 times a day. Gave me a headache. They also gave me meds to sleep, and they didnt help. Seroquil is what they gave me. Also meds for restless legs, which did help. I also went to see a psychologist, and she told me she really had never delt with someone that was having anxiety issues because of a physical problem, and didnt know how to approach the subject. After the surgery I started sleeping better, most of the anxiety went away, and I quit taking the meds. I still have a bit of anxiety, and insommnia, but is nothing like it was.
I went to the ER5 times, in 5 days, and the lat time they told me there was nothing they could do.

I also believe one of the meds they were giving me for Nausea triggered the anxiety, restless legs, and insomminia. Metaclopramide is the medicine, and 3 of the possible side effects are anxiety, restless legs, and insommnia. The Dr took me off of it. I was also rotating it with another med for nausea every month because you cant stay on either one for more than a month because of side effects. Metaclopramide is the most effective med of vagus nerve induced nausea.
I never had insommnia, anxiety or restless legs before I took Metaclopramide.
Not alot of Drs are familiar with vagus nerve dysfunction, but they are starting to recognize this disorder. My regular Dr told me I gave her an education on the vagus Neerve, and told me she has now diagnosed it in several patients since I brought it to her attention. She was surprised I was the one that correctly figured out what was going on, but it was a logical process for me.

I flunked the Barium Swallow Test, so I figured since the tongue is semirelated to the stomach, if I wasnt swallowing fast enough, it was logical my stomach may not be working right either I also factored in my getting dizzy while going to the bathroom. So I googled some stuff, and the obvious diagnosis was vagus berve sdysfunction. And I was right. I first mentioned this to the ER doctor, and he agreed with me because of my symptoms. I had also seen him at the ER almost a year before because of the nausea. I had nausea for almost 6 years before I figured out what it was. The nausea was mainly in the morning, and was also triggered by having to use the bathroom. #2

You need to have a Gastric Emptying Test done to Confirm Diagnosis.

I figured out the diagnosis myself, and an ER Doctor agreed with me. I had already flunked the Barium Swallow test, and to me it was logical to assume if i wasnt swallowing correctly, this may also be affecting me stomach, so I got a Gastric Emptying test done, and I flunked it, and this is a tell tale sign of a damaged Vagus Nerve.
