Need help asap! Everything keeps dying within 5 days, don't know what I'm doing wrong

Why does every seed I start in rockwool wither and die right after it pops up within 5 days.just gets thin as a pin and dies. There's no reason it should be this hard. I mean seriously I've burned 4 seeds now...does this just happen when there's lack of water or what, my humidity is 55% and its 75° sounds like ideal conditions to me...how often do I need to water these I mean 5 days really I wouldn't think they'd only be a half inch and withering without adding water by then. Are these maybe just some REALLY bunk seeds.. I picked them up from attitude so that thought hadn't crossed my mind until the fourth seed now...

Well did you PH your water? What kind of water was it? I use distilled water on seedlings for the first week, and PH it to 6-.6.3 Whats your lighting schedule? what kind of lights? there a fan blowing on them. Many different aspects can mess a seedling up.

Bro im almost certain its overwatering causing the seedling to rot, collapse and die. Let the medium dry well after germination.

Rockwool is a shitty seed starter. I had all my babies just stay water logged forever and when it did dry, it dried fast and I would lose some. Super slow growth if they made it. Maybe you should try some rapid rooters or coco? I moved all my shit to coco and couldn't be happier. I transplanted my sick babies to coco/hydroton mix and they came back to life and started kicking some ass.

For now I am using a cfl and am going to switch to a mh bulb in a few weeks, ph is 6-6.5 its just faucet water, using a 37watt cfl equivalent to a 150 it says from agrosun. I have a small pc fan inside the grow dome directly blowing light air on them and exhausting it as well. Its really pissing me off because now I've wasted a white widow seed, 2 blue himalayan autofems, and a ak47 easy ryder. The light is about 8 inches above the actual top of the dome making it like 9 or 10 from the top of the rockwool.hope that helps

3 weeks old.

Rockwool works good for me. I soak the rockwoll in PH'd distilled water for a couple of hours. Usually wont water for the first week. I use CFL's and a dome to help keep humidity up. Once the roots break through the rockwool(couple of days) I then plant it into its solo cup with some coco and vermisoil. Hope this helps.

trust me bro if its anything I really think it would be lack of water because I let them soak for the 24 hours (the cubes)then I squeezed excess water out. I have some bushdoctor kangaroots would that help? If so what should I do just mix it with a gallon of water maybe throw a tiny bit of nutes in like 1/8 or 1/16 recommended and then just use that to water them for a few weeks.they look to be lacking something.

When you sqeeze the water out you also sqeeze the O2 out which is similar to overwatering- no air to roots. Just give the cube a flick of the wrist to remove excess water.

I'm going to be using a emilys garden and have purchased multiple of them before this so I kinda don't have a choice but to use the rockwool cubes for that hydroponic system which sucks cause at this rate I won't have anything to grow in them. Just super depressing because seeds aren't exactly cheap and this has been an on going problem I thought I could solve and boy was I wrong.got home excited to look at them and they're dead lol.

As much as I would like to blame it on bunk seeds from Attitude, I believe it's because there's something nasty in your faucet water.

Well then I guess if I switch my water and do all of thee above you can blame attitude then :) cause I'd like to think it's not my fault lol of course it probably is but my god you'd think at least one of the 4 different ones would be even a little forgiving.

Yeah that says it. I lost a lot of seeds to rockwool in just the way johny describes.

Germination is the most vulnerable time in the plant's life cycle and it's where most casualties occur. Newly germinated seedlings are much more vulnerable to dehydration than growing plants, and at the same time, they are very vulnerable to fungus attacks when they get too moist.

I now use Sannie's starter plugs ( similar to Jiffy plugs) and I set them in a 1" bed of pearlite with enough water that there is a thin layer at the bottom. The plugs are soaked before the seeds are inserted and then put about 1/4" into the pearlite bed. This way they wick up water from the pearlite without getting sodden. It's extremely dry where I live so I use a humidity cover too but it may not be necessary elsewhere

Yeah it's discouraging. Sorry man. But once you get this part dialed in, you shouldn't have this problem any more.

Well thats what im hoping. And ya like i said i have to use rockwool, but if i would have only known lol id definitely be using soil, but im trying to maximize my space so i decided for that reason to go with hydroponics, and the guy at the hydroponic shop told me its not that hard and said the best thing he had for me for my 4x4x6.5 tent was the emilys garden so i purchased two of them then i bought some wicks, and it came with some floranova and bloom, so i figure ah wth sounds like a good buy. And now after these 4 discouraging fatalities, im really starting to wonder. I just grabbed some distilled water and did a ph test and im really starting to wonder if it was my water, because i see this stuff is 5.8-6.2 and my other water was 6.5- possibly even 7. and could have been bad for the plants i suppose. Im taking my pc fan out of there and i lowered my light to almost touching the dome and started germinating another one that was just a freebie that came with my order, amnesia i think, so i can try it out and see if that one goes cant waste anymore autoflowering ones, cause thats the way I really wanna go about growing for now as a beginner. If theres any other tips u guys can help me out with you ill be happy to try them, thanks for the help guys its much appreciated. If you guys wanna see pics i could probably add some of this graveyard grow LOL so you can maybe tell right away what the issue is.

Get a seed, place it in a piece of paper towel. Wet paper towel with ph 5.5 RO or distilled. Keep in WARM (80f) dark environment... I put in a partially closed soap dish in my bathroom and turn on the heater.

Once you see a tap root, plant it tap root down like less than a quarter inch from the surface. (cube has been pre-soaked in same 5.5ph RO or distilled water) Cover hole. Place directly under a bright fluoro in a humidity dome (dirt cheap at hydro store). Spray same ph 5.5 distilled or RO all over inside of dome. Keep it all in toasty 80f environment.

Do all that, and if they die again... it's def Attitude's fault.

Every single thing you just said is exactly what i did last time, the ONLY difference i am going to do is use distilled water. And if it happens again I give up because there would be no way it would be anything but bunk seeds. Ive read and read and read and study what to do for the longest time and finally got them and bam, this happens so unless its the water, i think i got shit on by the seeds. Honestly i would rather this be my fault than the seeds though cause then that would mean the other 30 seeds I have are bunk most likely and ugh lot of money down the toilet of attitudes pocket. My fingers are crossed now on this next germ. I know i was doing the germ right cause i pointed them down they cracked I used the papertowel heat and light deal and im worried i am going to be disappointed again.
