New AC Infinity clip fans??? WUT?!?!

Do you really even need a controller if you're a home grower? I've managed with a mechanical timer for my lights for 14 years.
Yes?

Continue to do what you do. The rest of us are perfectly happy with more control over temp/humidity in our tents/small rooms.

Could we 'just use a timer'? Sure, but way easier to dial in a specific temp or humidity range and keep things tighter than. just having a timer. Also the AC-I stuff allows you to run your fans at different speeds depending on conditions.

...Though, I really want a controller that also has a photo/optic sensor so you can set the PPFD or DLI from an actual reading. That's a 'miss' for me on the 69.
Also the fact that they did not increase the port count on the 69 is why i just went with the 67 and have no interest in the 69.

Not at all. But having the extra control is nice. Plus, if your a data junky like myself then you get to see pretty graphs. Screenshot_20220310-065354_AC Infinity.jpg
I grew mechanically for over 10 years whilst just using old fashioned timers. Once i got a tent i felt the need for further control of temps and humidity.

What is the flawed design issue with the ac infinity tents? Clearly the lights are being produced in China but to ac infinity requirements, I haven't seen anything from another Chinese brand with the halo layouts etc. Basically it's Chinese but not a clone.
I don't have many "flaws" in my AC 3x3. I could understand where someone thinks that a pin hole or 10 will cause an issue (which is a MAJOR debate here) Is there light leaks in the tent? Yes. Huge?, Not Mine. I have zero complaints, and aesthetically its much more attractive to look at then any other cheap tent. I'm leaving Gorilla etc out of this convo.

I do. On my list for the next 6 months or so. Having WIFI connectivity is a big draw for me as well as the bluetooth.

Though I am a bit perplexed with your comments on ports. My 67 has two ports, but you can't individually program for each. The new 69 has 4 ports, all individually controllable, and if you have something that can share programming, you can also double up and. have two devices share a port/programming.

Oh well then I don't know what i was looking at when I first made that decision. Well damn. Looks like i may be eventually upgrading, again. The WIFI is nice, but it wasn't a deal breaker for me. My lack of knowledge of the 2/ 4 ports is. I'm also an impatient one.

Thanks for setting me straight!

Just wanted to make sure the right info was out there. I actually went back and looked at the specs and manual to verify. They've moved over to USB connections instead of 4 pin molex which will take 'dongles' to work with many of the AC-I fans though.

For me the WIFI thing is a bonus because I currently run a different hygrometer/thermometer in my tent specifically so I can check the conditions during the day (when I'm at the office, or out and about)...Though I can't make adjustments based on that data at this point. It would be nice to change fan settings or adjustments at will if I find that my tent isn't doing what it normally does...and it would make for one less bit of gear hanging in my tent.

I was looking the other week at it and could have swore I read just two ports. When you called me out, I also went back and confirmed that I was waay off. I did know the USB-C switch, and i whole heartedly welcome that one. Bummer ill need an adapter for my Cloudline 6. But thats minor.
