noob question

Going back to OP original question, I do not recommend Fox Farm Happy Frog for the seed starting phase. Instead start with Fox Farm Light Warrior which is specifically designed for seed germination.
ive been cloning for the past few months, tried ocean forest, and happy frog, my plants tend to die off straight in happy frog.. ocean forest seems to potentially be burning it, (i get really purple stems alll the time, until i transplant to a bigger container.. ive had most success with FFOF, not so much FFHF. SO, i just picked up some light warrior for the seedlings.. gonna try the clones in that, see if they develop better..

I cant tell if my purple stems are a deficiency.. ive have not been able to dial down my issues yet.. any advice for a fellow farmer?

I put a prozack clone in a 2 gallon smart pot with happyfrog mixed w 15% xtra pearlite and left it till just before flower w/o xtra nutes, it did well, plus happyfrog has mycos. Also any soil that burns can be cooled with pearlite or other similar type stuff. unless burning is from hot chunks u gotta mix emup
Anyway I like happyfrog but I would dilute it with a bit of pearlite and a cheaper less awesome soil, if u add nutes later or whatever thats your thing
