not so proper lighting

hello all. i just made my debut in growing. i came upon the task almost messing around one day. i decided to take the middies seeds (money is tight on this particular day) that i disregarded to roll a J and stick them down a half inch in this cactus plant that i had in a one gallon pot. two plants emerged, and in about a month's time had come to be around a foot in height. i have been reviewing questions i have had throughout these forums and have received some random knowledge from reading various sites. however i lack probably the most important quality, experience. in order to avoid the competition for nutrients and light i transplanted one into it's own pot but it severly stunted its growth. i live high up in an apartment in which the suns path is unobstructed all day long. i have a couple questions. i researched how to tell if the plant is male or female, and i found that it indoor plants should show sex by around two weeks. i also realize that i am not using grow lights so this may hinder the process. my plant has at least 8 protruding 'sets of leaves' from the stem. the top four are the traditional 5 leaf sets while the bottom 4 are 3 setters. it looks very healthy, but i am not able to distinguish whether i see "balls" or the pistils. i was led to believe the spot i should be looking to figure this out was at the branch stem connection. however it appears to me that these things are actually new sets of leaves coming out. anyone have any opinions on this, or will my plant even flower due to the fact i dont have grow lights?

also, if my plant is in fact feminine, being that the seed cam from a bag of middies, will is be just as bad, or are middies just a male version (being that seeds are in it) of a potentially better smoking pot?

well u cnt tell if there male or f untill flowering bt males grow little pollen balls

Female plants produce seeds when pollinated after male flowers bloom and release pollen.
