ok need advice on collecting pollen

i have a male lr#2 loaded with flower sacs just starting to open.i want to collect pollen for future project in a few weeks however all ive ever done is cut plant and put whole thing in a plastic bag ---then when girls are ready i would polinate only a couple lower branches by slipping bag over limb.anyone got a better way---i need to polinate 5 or 6 fem lr#2 crosses to make seed for next crop,however it will be 3 or 4 weeks till i can use him.also only 2 or 3 out of 10000 sacs have opened so far.it is in a pot so i can bring him in to collect pollen

cut off some sacks throw it in a plastic bag and throw it in the fridge...when ready to polinate...open bag stick in paint brush, paint pollen on females...done...

but do they all or most be open before collecting or when plant dries out will pollen be availible if i collect now!!!

another way is lettin the males mature and place your plants over sheets of good quality tin foil ......................... tap and bang them to speed up the process a few days later should have lots of pollen , its very easy to work with on tin foil

then do as massah said fridge it and paint bush your females ......... remeber though it has a shortish shelf life unless you freeze it so use it within a few weeks

cant use until females are ready--they are lr#2 so maybe it will last 3 or 4 weeks-----

yeah 3 or 4 weeks should be ok long as its in the fridge and in a light proff water proff container ! but the longer its storded the less viable it will be week old pollen will always be better than 4 weeks ect

for longer storage you can freeze it to but it degrades to just slower !!

and dont foeget you can slow your males down by usein low intensity lights will take alot longer to mature you do it now you will be able to steal another week or 2 and still get quality pollen
