I think UB is engaging in a lot of satire, but he makes some good points.
I also think that another problem is the fear people have of guns. Used properly they are just as safe as a computer or xbox.

I picked up the Dillon XL650 a year ago. I don't know what I'd do without it.
Mine would be super comfortable if I didn't wear it as a belly gun and had it off to the side of my waist. But chores around the house dictate that I wear it the way I do.
Supertucks are even more uncomfortable if you try to use them like I do.

I admit I have a healthy fear of handguns but I didn't grow up around them. Grew up in a houseful of long guns and am comfortable with them.
I should probably get one and hit the range though, as it is now, I'd have a better chance hitting you with a pistol by throwing it than by shooting it.

My opinion here. Concealed carry is better because it doesn't frighten the children, and it doesn't make you the first target for a bad guy in a public place.
I don't carry, but I can outshoot nearly anybody with a handgun. I am mediocre with a rifle.
