Peyote and Peruvian torch

So I have some peyote and Peruvian torch I'm in the UK if I keep them relatively warm and on a window ledge will they both grow fine but at a drastically lower rate or would they eventually die also the peyote is already rooted but not the Peruvian torch I've just put that in pot with 3 perlite to 1 coco and Berried it half inch I'm planning to get cactus soil when it roots should I un-berry it and place on top or will it be fine also it did have a callous before I planted and the mixture is slightly wet

I've grown peyote I don't know what the UK is like but the humidity here killed them.

They're fine as long as not exposed to too much humidity.

Lovely flowering cactus.

They should be fine in the summer, lots of UK loph growers. Try to keep them in a south facing window as close to the window as possible and rotate them every couple days for even light. Water them every 1-2 weeks in the summer (depending on temps, here it gets 95-110F in the windowsill), sometimes every 3-4 weeks. Just wait for the soil to be totally dry for 5 days, They’ll be a little deflated. But when you do water, soak it. I recommend a 100% mineral mix that contains lots of limestone and keep them in clay terracorra pots so they dry out quicker and don’t sit in moist substrate. I would make them go dormant in the fall/winter , keep them at 50-55F by a north facing window and only water every 1-2months. They’re gonna shrivel up and sink into the soil but that’s all normal, they’ll plump right back up come spring.

Oh yeah and 3% hydrogen peroxide at 1.5 tsp per cup of water every month or so helps alot with root growth and keeping pests at bay.
