One night in late October,
When I was far from sober,
Returning with my load with manly pride,
My poor feet began to stutter,
So I lay down in the gutter,
And a pig came near and lay down by my side;
Then we sang "It's all fair weather when good fellows get together",​

Till a lady passing by was heard to say:
"You can tell a man who boozes,
By the company he chooses",
And the pig got up and slowly walked away.​

Why did you read this thread?......? It was my life for 25 years......I spent more awake hrs in prison than with my wife............even zoo's have stories.....

I've done more to help inmates in prison than anyone you know......What have you ever done to change that "evil" your so very aware of?.....Well I spent 25 years helping inmates every day...............not hard for me to justify my actions......how about yours?

u taught people..........i use the word people..........how to do a minimum wage job:clap::clap:

If I make the CHOICE to put myself in a situation that could send ME to prison for MY WRONG DOING I can only pray to have myself guarded by someone like him....lol ur logic is just all messed up hun, someone needs to do this job if people continue to rape, murder and betray each other...so who's the bad guy again?? lol silly

The first thing I told each new factory inmate was "If you don't come in here & act like an inmate, I won't treat you like one. You are my new employee, act like it. If you can't agree, I'll help you get reassigned to any other job you can find......." I had very few takers.

California Prison Industries is one of the real success stories in prison....every one of our workers received certifications in their new trade. We brought in college instructors & all our welders were certified, forklift drivers all had OSHA license's....ect. We cut the recidivism rate by 50% over General Population.

I don't know if you guy's have noticed but my best skills in prison were communication & PATIENCE!..........heavy on the patience....

Prison is a fucked up place.....I couldn't change that. But the little corner of it that I had control over, was not!....That was the best "I" could do.....that and help as many as I could get out of there & stay out.....It was a bad day for me to see one of my guy's return.....that's when I felt a little failure....Everyone likes to see people succeed....no one more than me....

i would guess learning to read or finding jesus in prison are more likely to keep u out than working in a metal shop.......

Education is always a priority in prison, inmates that couldn't read went straight to education at classification. All of our inmates could read & write....Jesus...well?.........Jesus was always there.........
