I have never seen this before. All my seedlings have red stems. The leaves are green and healthy looking but the stems are red and I am worried any ideas??? Soil is sphagnum peat moss with perlite and some limestone. Im going to wait it out. But im concerned they are doomed.

I cant at the moment. I was trying something new going with this medium. I think it is a nitrogen def. This is exactly why i dont like trying new things. New problems to diagnose and fix. Thanks hydro store guy! Lol. I had not used and nutes yet so i just fed with floranova Grow. We shall see.

i had red/purp stems for a bit and they recovered. It was actually like a 'coating; and are starting to peel off.

I was once told that it's a sign of overfeeding, but as time went on plant was fine so I came to the conclusion that it maybe be genectics in some stains.

it could be alot of different things. strain, nute deficiency etc. as long as your plant looks healthy and its growing great i wouldnt worry about it too much. just make sure your main plant stock/stem doesnt turn red/purple. most plants i grow have some reddish/purple stem of some sort. some are just spotted with color here and there. doesnt effect my end product in the least.
