on the other hand, that is a 67% approval rating. far higher than the dismal failures of our administration.33 percent of the Republicans up for recall lost their elections. I would say this is still a HUGE message to the Republicans
Especially considering the fact these were Republican strongholds.33 percent of the Republicans up for recall lost their elections. I would say this is still a HUGE message to the Republicans......you messed up. After the debt ceiling fiasco, I do not see how Republicans think they can hold the house. Just saying.
So what's absolutely certain is that when Wisconsin Democrats attempt to recall Walker next year it will be very close, and if he continues to overreach it will only hurt him; If Walker is smart, he'll make a shift towards the middle to prevent losing his governorship - and if he does that, than that's really all anyone wants in the first place... A sensible, moderate leader. It seems he has said he plans to work with both parties from here on out as well, so maybe he isn't as dumb as he made himself to be when this whole fiasco started.
Combined across the six districts, the Democratic candidates received 47.3 percent of the vote, and the Republican incumbents 52.7 percent.
Each of these districts are swing districts — but, nevertheless, five of the six are slightly more Republican than Wisconsin as a whole. In total, they gave Mr. Walker 55.6 percent of their votes in 2010, as compared to the 52.3 percent he achieved statewide — a Republican lean of 3.3 percentage points. (The difference mostly reflects the fact that no portions of Democratic-leaning Madison, and few portions of Democratic-leaning Milwaukee, participated in the elections last night.)
What that means is that if you wanted to use Tuesday’s results as a proxy for a recall vote on Mr. Walker, you’d want to subtract 3.3 points from the Republican total and add 3.3 points to the Democrats’ total to get a sense of how the whole state might have voted. That would point toward a recall vote that would be too close to call: Republicans would have gotten 49.4 percent of the vote, and Democrats 50.6 percent, according to this method.
Or maybe he got his new corporate walking orders. Lie low until you retain the governorship and then continue to fuck everything up.This is not much of a Republican victory, but it is a good barometer for the recall of Walker next year... And if anything Walker should be pretty worried. This article breaks it down:

ok, so maybe you can tell me just which corporate masters his agenda is designed by. the government corporation? the taxpayer's corporation? we all know who's rolling up the big money behind his opposition, the democratic party and the public sector unions, but it would seem that it is the taxpayers themselves and, of course, his own party that are bankrolling his bid to keep government workers from sucking too hard on the taxpayer's teat.Or maybe he got his new corporate walking orders.
Two seats in one recall election is unprecedented, I'd describe these recalls as a mixed bag more than anything... Democrats did something that's never been done in Wisconsin before and also likely seeded a second thought into walkers decision making process (for fear of further voter backlash); On that other hand, no majority in the state senate..The Progressives should be shaking their heads in bewilderment and disbelief. The unions pumped MILLIONS into this recall campaign and had their heads handed to them.
The question now is, how much more damage can puppet Obama and his union masters do to destroy the country before 2012?
The T.E.A. Party rocks!
Forget Republican vs Democrat. This was a victory for conservatives ... and an ass whipping for the union bosses. Two seats in one recall election is unprecedented, I'd describe these recalls as a mixed bag more than anything... This is far from a Republican victory though.
and the conservatives just threw a few nickels at this effort? The unions pumped MILLIONS into this recall campaign and had their heads handed to them.
Small comfort, but, every little bit helps.i bet walker was shitting bullets and sweating bricks.
The view of someone that has little to no understabding about the recall process or politics in general. The Progressives should be shaking their heads in bewilderment and disbelief. The unions pumped MILLIONS into this recall campaign and had their heads handed to them.
