Hello all! First, I would like to give a big shout out to Mars Hydro for their generous support of this forum and their outstanding contests. I'm very excited to have won an FC6500 in the October contest and I will be documenting my grow journey with it in this thread once it arrives. I have big plans (for me, but I realize I'm a small fish) for my grows next year. I've stocked up on a lovely variety of FOTM, old school, and landrace strains and I will be doing some pollen chucking in preparation for some actual breeding later on this year. I'll also be adding a 3x3 tent along with a Mars Hydro FC3000 for it shortly. Currently I have a 4x4 and a 2x2. So be sure to stop by if you are interested in seeing what the Mars Hydro FC6500 and FC3000 can do. I love to see Mars Hydro taking this direction with lm301b diodes in the bar light format, they have by far the best light spread I've seen and they really allow us small scale growers get the most out of our footprints!

Here is a pic from this morning from my 4x4. This is day 1 of 12/12. I no longer use scrogs simply because I like to be able to get in my tent and take everything out if I need to. In the next two weeks I will begin supercropping to maintain an even canopy, and will defoliate approximately 10% or less (as few as possible) of the leaves in order to increase air flow within the canopy and to hopefully stimulate SAR/ISR.

4 strains by Old School Genetics in Spain (two are from their Karma collaboration line). Front left-Old Red Sour (Sour Diesel "riri cut" x (Jamaican Blueberry X Red Khyber). Front right-Blue D #5 (Josh D OG x (Norther Lights #5 x 1980s Blueberry). Back right- Old Widow 90s (late 90s White Widow s1). Back left- Petrol Skunk (Road Dawg x Critical Mass "bilbo cut"). I love when breeders collaborate with each other! I will be popping some of the Tony Green/Karma collab strains next year.

I discovered this breeder by chance while looking at pictures in another forum-he had posted some beautiful pictures of some of his breeding stock and I was impressed. Of these strains, I've grown out the Petrol Skunk before and loved it, in fact, it's all I'm currently using-it's a wonderful medical strain. Here is a closer pic of the Old Widow 90s, it is such a cute plant-look at those tiny leaves!

I will pop in the FC6500 once I receive it, and will do an unboxing and everything, so stay tuned! Next I'll post a few pics of how I take single clones (for other small fish)

This is my method of taking single clones. I use a root riot cube, double dip in cloning gel/powder, then put it in a cut up solo cup with a wet/wrung out paper towel to hold it in place, and zip a quart zip lock over the whole thing. It's a good space saver because you can stick these little guys in small spaces (any tent that is 18/6 or 24/0, you know the drill).

Reading back over my original post, I realized I left out a few details. They are in 3.5 gal air pots filled with 100% coco, hydrofarm "Grow!t" brand. I'm feeding Megacrop A/B at 600 ppms and watching close for signs of deficiency during this stretch phase. I have no problems taking my ppms up but I don't unless they tell me to. The voices I mean. Fed twice per day starting yesterday (start of 12/12) at 5.8 ph with a lot of runoff, through most of veg I feed once per day in coco. I add Mr. Fulvic and Age Old Kelp during one feed per day. Let me know if I left out any pertinent details. Thanks for joining me on this journey of botanical self discovery!

Subbed. Looking good, how long was veg? Temp and humidity? Distance to the lights and wattage or dimmer setting?

Very nice looking ladies. How long did you veg them and under which light?
Too bad you didn't turn on your EZ-8, I would love to see results.

Hiya Ham, ty for coming by and checking out my plants. Veg was just about 7 weeks. Temps at canopy level are about 82 F during lights on and 75 during lights off. Humidity at around 50% at all times. Current lights are a Medic Grow Fold-8 set to 80%. I'll check the exact distance when the lights come back on tonight-I run them at night to heat up my tiny house. I underestimated the power of these lights during my last grow and got some bleaching, so I'm being more conservative with distance this time.

These are actually under the Fold-8. This is the second time I've grown with it. The first I ended up with 2 lb 5 oz of buds and 4 oz of popcorn. This pic is from about a week before I harvested last time. Keep in mind, the plants look a bit rough because my AC died during that crazy heat wave and it got up to 109.

I'm actually running the purple plant again this round, that's the Petrol Skunk-it's one of my favorite strains right now. Great medical strain.

Nice job! You use to grow organic didn't you? If so why the switch to coco?
I still do grow organic outside, and sometimes I switch things up and do an organic grow inside. Really, the biggest reason I'm using coco and mineral salt nutes right now is being able to use smaller pots and still get high yields. I was planning on doing a 4x4 foot bed of Coots mix inside but after I mixed up all the soil in my yard, I realized there was no way I was going to make 30 trips with buckets up my stairs lol. Plus, I was recovering from Covid at the time so I just went back to coco to make things easier on me. I love organic growing though! And I never spray with anything toxic.
