Sativa with vertical light in tent

Hello,
Planning my first grow and I will be growing sativas - Catpiss and Durban Poison, which get very tall. Will buy a grow tent that's enough for 1 big plant 40x40x150cm. I will probably top it early on, do some training and could even start with 12/12 light schedule. Would this be a viable option as a grow light placed vertically on one of the edges - https://www.ledgrowshop.eu/optic-led/slim-100-dimmable-led-grow-light--120-degree--3500k/ ? I have neighbors below me and above, so I need to be quiet, thus the small setup. Also, a helicopter is visitting the area late at night weekly, probably equipped with FLIR, so I will put a box over the whole tent with tinfoil, put a big blanket below to reduce the vibrations and hopefully won't attract attention. I am doing this only for myself, because the guys I bought from started lacing my stuff with M. and I hate that stuff. Appreciate the help!

BTW … that single strip led is not enough even for one plant. Lurk the grow journals here on RIU to find similar setups that you are interested in. FLIR narrows in on thermal infrared signatures ( heat ) and cannot see thru most home construction , however if you stick with leds you can run pretty much any size you want and still stay good in power usage.

Haha! They discovered a massive grow on the upper floor before I moved in, so heat needs to be reduced to a minimum. They circle the area with a helicopter late at night at around 1AM. Not paranoid or anything, but if it's not equipped with FLIR I don't see a reason for them to do it. Many people get busted around here talking on phones carelessly, they come in with the door usually, if you don't open. Drones and hellicopters search for outdoor ops and then send people to hide waiting for the person to come water. They use dogs and undercovers as well, which have a job of only searching for outdoor ops all day. They, also come ask people in parks if they can share something to smoke and get them arrested, if someone does. Kind of behind enemy line, hopefully will survive. :D

If it’s that bad … snitches and what not , then you might try a different hobby.
Try Shoe cobbler, people need new kicks .

Wow! I'm assuming you live in a place where weed is still not legalized.

No offense, but consider this - are your two plants baller enough to warrant their attention?
Just sayin' :bigjoint:

Don't exhaust to the outside world.
Edit --- "They" probably have a profile on RIU.......... muahahahahaha! :fire:

Probably should try a different hobby, but I really enjoy smoking. :D I stop thinking for a few days and then I start reading for hours and thinking of ways to make this right. Sorry for asking again, but would two of these work in my situation for a single plant - https://www.ledgrowshop.eu/gc-series-bar/69w-greenception-led-gc-bar-single-set/ ? I also own one of these - https://growlightcentral.com/products/secret-jardin-tled-26-watt-veg-clone-led-bar
I would propably forget full vertical on that space and put 4x small Led stripes (20w etc each) on corners and 1x cob etc led on top. That would be enough for one long sativa plant.
Top twice and make some trimming to get four headed plant and just watch how it grows. Pretty simple. Maybe even without topping at all.

When you do go ahead, maybe something Indica dominant with a nice fast finish as opposed to a longer flowering Sativa.

I’d want something fast. Less time growing, less chance of bullshit from the steel hawk!

Alright. I'm going to help you out. You've done some reading but you're wayyyy off the mark here. First of all, that grow light isn't going to do shit. For LEDs, go for a UFO light if you're only growing one plant. 90w would be plenty enough hung above the plant. Second, you don't need to put a box or foil or anything around your tent if you're using an LED light. There is NO heat signature even close to enough to detect. LEDs run way cooler than HPS lights. And for a helicopter equipped with FLIR to even notice a spot, there has to be several lights. You're growing ONE plant my guy with an LED. I don't know where you are but it sounds like you're a bit paranoid. I mean that in the most disrespectful way possible.

Thanks for your advise. I will probably go with this light: https://www.ledgrowshop.eu/gc-series-x/greenception-led-grow-gcx-4/ and it will fit exactly in a 40x40cm. Sorry to go offtopic, but I already bought lots of these seeds and I know they grow about 2m outdoors, so I wanted to compensate with vertical lights, too bad it won't work as well. Will have to do some training, topping and switch directly to a 12x12 light schedule from start to not burn the plant in this confined space. This is my first time attempting this in a growbox, so sorry for being overly paranoid.

Shit. Just realized I sounded like an asshole with the last sentence I wrote. I meant to say in the LEAST disrespectful way possible lol. Was a bit stoned when I wrote that haha. Just trying to help you out. That light looks better. You'll def get a better yield. Another thing you could do is top it and tie down the branches over and over until you're 14 days into flower. At that point it shouldn't stretch anymore.

I realized that was wrong at the end and connected the pieces :D. Will follow this advise, thanks for letting me know around when stretching stops.
Many thanks for all the advises from everyone!
