Should I Stretch my Plant on Purpose ?

Just curious because I have a rather odd shaped grow room....Width is only 16", depth is around 30", and height is about 7'6".....

Plant is 20 days old...So far seems to be doing good....Each day I see new growth....However, it seems to be a bushy little thing - nodes seem tight.....Almost seems like leaves are growing bigger and it is getting bushier faster than it is growing in height....

I am keeping the lights around 1" to 2" from her (hopefully)....

Plant is a skunk haze...From what I have researched this seems to be a "tall" growing plant up to around 6' tall....

Questions: Should I raise the lights to encourage vertical growth ?

Would you Fim her ? Don't I want like 4 or more colas going up ? I am not sure I read that this can cause the plant to be bushy.....

Lastly - medium is Pro-mix BX with lime, perlite, and worm castings....i have Jack's Classic to give her....When should I start with that ?

I was wondering the same thing. I don't have a hight problem but only 2'×2' so would like 2 tall girls more then bushy. I will keep an on this thread thx to all who help us.

I grew a skunk haze last year that i got for free and it grew to be a 13 foot tall male.. And the leafs are going to own the sabers this year

Raising the light will make them reach up. If you fimm you are gonna make it bushier so you don't want that.
Are you in veg? Stacked nodes are good cause when you flip that first month is when they stretch on most on strains Ive done.
Ive never used jacks classic so can't help ya there.

I am also going through the same thing, I have lots of vertical space and 2 separate growrooms, so I have been vegging under CFL's and I just moved half the set under a MH to see my results on the stretching/ bushy plants. Wow 13' that's nuts...Too bad it was female that sucks for sure...

Not sure but I was told it had a 99% chance of being female...however, that works....

Still a bit small for Jack's. The EWC is enough for now, looks fine.

No, stretch is not good, keep the lights as they are, just don't top. Kinda small to be topping anyway.

hahahaha 7 foot speaker grow! right on man... yea id raise that light up a little to put some space between the nodes. i had a buddy do the exact same thing in a 6 foot speaker. it was a femed strawberry cough from dutch passion and i heard that they branch out like hell so we put a stake in the middle of the pot after i topped it at 3 nodes and tied the branches almost parallel to the stake to hold them off the walls of the speaker. i thought it was a pretty good idea lol. it looked funny as hell but hey, i thought it was decent enough.

Yepp in veg...plant is only 20 days old...I'm in no rush to flower her...I can get pot to smoke in the meantime...I just would like to get the maximum out of this Space as I can...I am you know a Space Cowboy.

Good idea with the stake and raising the branches upwards...Will keep that in mind....

How did you friend's grow end? How much did it produce?

this plant is 7 days into flowering. I average 10oz per plant. pretty good considering i only have such a small space.
