How are the ladies, Joe? You ever run any males for the pollen? I'm slowly getting set up to start some pollinating. Hopefully sooner than later. I'll hook you up with that rain check when I start tossing some pollen around if you want.
I went over to TnT a while back. I found out what a 'mainy' is. Now I am spotting them left and right, lol.
I'll be posting an update pic a bit later. Suffice to say, they're trucking along. They all got topped a few days ago.

I haven't messed with any pollen chucking. I don't really know what to look for in a male plant. In all honesty, I'd be much more likely to dabble in feminized seeds. If you do some chucking, I'd be happy to run some for testing purposes.

That's funny. T&T is a world all it's own.

Another week, another update.

I had been watering the plants fully to runoff and that was making a few of them unhappy, I've altered my watering to about half the amount they had been getting. I've had to water daily and they've been much happier, no more drooping. Also have a seedling heat mat in the tent to help get temps up around 80-82.

Everyone got a haircut a few days ago. Nothing special this time, I just snipped at the highest accessible node. They're responding...

So that's about it for now. Once I get them into a bigger area, I can transplant into proper pots and let them get their freak on.

Update addendum:

After snapping my pictures, I went back to check something I had forgotten. I pulled one of my Nilla Wafer out of the cup to check the root ball, and these babies are bound up and in need of new shoes. They're going to have to deal with it for a bit longer.

You got every mile out of that cup. That's awesome. Those roots actually look great!

They almost remind me of a top ramen brick.

Once I get these babies in bigger pots, those roots are going to explode. I'm hoping to have the new setup and transplants done by this time next week.

They're fine. We got some rain, but it wasn't enough to mess with the water level. I'll see about getting a pic up soon.

I'm not a fan of dumping the ferts in like Jeb, things don't dissolve well enough for my liking. I mix my fertilizers in a 5 gallon bucket with a measured amount of water, then fill my tote with the remaining water, add ProTekt to the tote and then mix it all together. Works well for me.

But I do mix all my ferts at once. I don't do a part a, part b thing, no problems with precipitates so far.

I run the same setup with a 2x2x5 veg tent with 9 babies. Grow them til i can clone them and start tossing the plants i cloned from in my 2x4x5 flower tent and make sure i label everything to try and get the best phenoScreenshot_20190518-202941_Sricam.jpgcamera in my flower tent isnt the greatest so i wont bother with that one. Its more for emergency omg they need water as i work away 2 weeks at a time and my wife and kid suck at watering. Always overwatering. By the time i usually get home i am usually in a mad panic to get them dried out and bring them back. Its hard trying to tell people not to over water soil. I have never done coco but would like to try one day when i am not away from home 2 weeks at a time. The pic of the plants in the green house i have going are from seeds started in december of a rare strain only a few of my buddies have called gods widow. Its an amazing finisher here on vancouver island. I am expecting monster from my greenhouse this year. This girl is almost 5 feet in diameter already. I only have 10 feet to work with though.lolreceived_439360883513624.jpeg

Welcome. I see perm rolled out the red carpet for you, saves me the trouble.

I love coco, once you try it and get a handle on how to work with it, it's a breeze.

2 weeks away from home? Easy-peasy, just takes a reservoir, a pump and a timer...set a little drip system up and you're golden. That's what I'll be doing as soon as I upgrade my tent situation just to eliminate hand watering.

That is definitely a monster in the making. Looking good.

So, now I have FOMO, and have to try out this Kratky stuff to see if it's all it's kratked up to be. After I moved stuff around I have room to run a tub system like yours, maybe 2 indoors though....you know what...I'm doing some outdoors, too! I'm going to do lettuce in the indoors one. The Mrs. has been hounding me for more lettuce.

(yes I smoked, must you ask)

Here are the Kratky totes with peppers.

First up is the Numex Jalamundo
IMG_20190520_165928.jpg

And a Poblano and a Hatch Chile.

IMG_20190520_165955.jpg

I checked the water level in each tote. It was a bit high from the rain, so I bailed out the excess. Starting to see some good root development. I'll snap a couple pictures when they've put down a nice web.

I just like growing plants and I like tinkering and experimenting with different ideas. I try to have fun with it.

By all means, watch and learn, but make no mistake, I'm no pro at this stuff.
