Soil and water grow round 2

So watering has been rough . A very steep learning curve. Combined with Having ADD, and not leaving things alone. I'm going to be restarting my 2x2 grow. Will buy some new genetics as well.

Current plans are clean up the tent. Plant all remaining Jenkees F2s.
Order new seeds. Maybe some indica dominant and hybrids.

Any tips on using Sohum Supersoil (cannabis craves)?

Seedlings use straight soil? Or mix with Coco?

Getting a full clean out done this evening.
Will have to wait to buy more genetics.
My other hobby took a huge hit to ship something.

I'll place an order from a seedbank or from dragonsflame genetics in a week or so.

I grow in super soil that I make using the Rev's TLO recipe so I'm not really up on Sohum but I believe we all run along the same guidelines. With an organic super soil, you will just use water until the girls ask for some tea [3 week intervals for me]. Use only organic bag soil for clones. Super soil will burn them to a crisp. As far as coco, it's added into my mix @ 15% before I cook it. When watering super soil, I try to water just until I have run off. Overwatering will leach out the nutes over time. Hope this helps...

Thanks man. I appreciate that!!

Watering has been a hell of a challenge for me. Either too much or too little.
I've learned a lot. And hope this works out.

Good luck! Don’t give up you got it. Seedlings can be started in most soils. Not to familiar with the one your useing. You can always “cut” with peat moss and perlite if it’s hot.

watering is everything with water only soils. Think about biology and soil health before plant. Consistency! I keep preaching it. Never allow soil to dry out, this slows don’t your microherd which isvital For plant nutrient uptake!

full size plants typically are somewhere around 5% of pot size to water. 10 gallon container = 1/2 water per day.

mane you work up to that point. The small nuances of watering practices are learn by getting your fingers in there. Also feel inside the bottom of your containers throughdrain holes. Hands on all the way. then you will learn over time what a properly saturated container feels like.

give yourself plenty of foot space. Bigger the better forcontainer size.

Awesome! Thats great advice, thank you!

EDIT: does that mean 5% of the total of the 10 gallons? Or 1 half gallon?
OR
do you just half water it?
Trying to rule out variables.
I'm a learn by showing or physically doing type.

I use 3-5 gallon pots and I judge how much water that need by the weight of the pot. Since 10 gallon pots with soil and water weigh 100 pounds or so, that won't work for you. If you can water slowly, give them 1/2 of what you think they need, now, watch for run off. water again until you just see some run off, stop, this should be close. If water is still in tray after 30 minutes, drain tray. Another thing to consider is, put 1/2- 3/4 inch of mulch over the top of the container, keep this moist always. Mulch keeps enough moisture in the medium to keep the microbes healthy and happy.

Germinating seeds.
5x of Jenkees F2.

Got them free from a dude on social media after buying one of his products.

Got soil set up in the solo cups.
30% 707 genetics organic soil
70% Coco
Pearlite 1 scoop. (2 or 3 cups)

Hoping this round goes better.
Figured planting the freebies will help and be cheaper than an expensive learning curve.
Will plant the seeds once I get a decent size taproot from all of them.

I've seen others use it with success.
This is a test to which gets better results for seedlings.
Their website says not to start seeds in it.

Feel feee to test to prove it to yourself, but IMO you’re just wasting beans.

I'll try mixing the sohum soil with coco tonight after work.
50/50
Or 70/30.
I don't want to keep wasting beans. I've killed enough as it is.

Edit:
I had enough time before work to change seedling 1. The very top is mostly sohum. Probably the first inch. Didn't want to disturb the taproot. The rest is sohum mixed with my 70/30 coco blend. I'll do the other 2 tonight with sohum at 50/50.
