Struggling

Hi guys, my seedlings are about two weeks old and they are growing pretty slow and 1 of them is suffering from a nutrient def. I am feeding them 2ml of canna start in coco which is basically baby food for seedlings. The E.C is 0.8 and the PH is around 6.0. I am using tap water so the canna start is only raising my E.C from 0.5 to 0.8. Should I up my feed and start giving them more canna start at around 3 or 4ml like the bottle suggests to get a E.C of around 1.0? And does anybody know when I should increase my temps from 23c in seedling stage to around 27c in veg stage? Should I increase my temps slowly over time? And Do you know how many leaves they need before they switch from seedlings to the veg stage? And should I lower my LED light to give them more ppfd as they grow to give them better grow and stop stretching? I'm kind of struggling. Any help is appreciated. I'm just looking for feeding charts in coco for seedling and really just to confirm if I should lower the LED light as a I go to give the seedlings more ppfd and when should I increase my temps?

Hard to say without pics, but 23c is low for LEDs, I would increase that now to 27 if possible. I looked up the Canna Start which is 1-1-2 and I'm just guessing your plants are underfed, I'd start them on your regular Canna nutes at 1 EC. How often are you feeding now? If they are still small, you are probably fine at 50% and around two feet for your LED distance.

They are pretty small, they have got the cotyledons and two sets of small leaves. 1 of them has a nitrogen def from what I can see, but I managed to correct it by giving them 2ml of canna start. I wasn't feeding them to start with which is a mistake on my part. I will increase the temps now with my inkbird app. I'm guessing that's what is keeping there growth stunted (low temps and not enough nutrients). I will up the canna start from 2ml to 3ml and up the temps from 23c to 25c and see how I get on :)

Also... when should I add a fan to give them better air circulation and promote stronger stems? they are pretty leggy at the moment due to the fact I had my led too far away, but they have slowed down on stretching now due to the fact I put the LED a bit closer, so I'm guessing I should hold off for the minute with any fans and carry on using my carbon filter for new air to stop them from falling over with a oscillating fan blowing over them?

I'm feeding every 2 or 3 days, because the temps are low and the water is kind of just sitting there so I have to allow it to dry to a certain extent, but I've just raised the temps from 23c to 25 so hopefully we will see some improvement with the growth and drying out times :bigjoint: @Rurumo

It's always good to have a fan going, not directly at the plants but so that you've got a breeze circulating and you can see the leaves moving a bit, I'd get that in there. Once you put that in, warm them up, and start feeding stronger nutes, you'll find them pick up quickly. You don't need the Start in the future, just go with regular Canna nutes. I start feeding at .9 ish from the start in coco-just feed to plenty of runoff, and let the media dry out slightly until it fills up with roots-then transplant and do it again. Your coco will dry out faster once you warm it up and put the fan in-give them a wet/dry cycle until they get some size to them and fill out their pots fully with roots. Good luck, you'll turn them around quick!

I have lowered the LED another inch or two and they are now getting around 130 - 140 ppfd. And I have increased the temps to 25 -26c.. I also have a oscillating fan blowing over them left to right now so they are getting a nice breeze now. The next feed they will also get an increase in nutrients, hopefully in the next week or so I can increase it from 25% to 50% on the dimmer so then they will be getting around 300 - 400 ppfd, maybe a little bit more :bigjoint:

Do not jump that fast on ur ppfd to 300-400. Thats a fast increase from 140 plus from what ur describing (seedling stage still) its too early to give them that ppfd light intensity. By the way what is your humidity reading?

my humidity is around 55 - 60%

your VPD (vapour pressure deficit) is badly off. As your In the seedling stage u need a kPa of 0.7. Sooooo increase ur humidity to 74% if ur temp is 79/80f

That will be the perfect environment for the stage ur in. Keep that ppfd at 150 for now.

Okay I'm going to open the inkbird app now and raise it to 70% Humidity :)

perfect. You will then notice in a few days the seedlings looking alot better. Try and send some pictures aswell
I don't have a very good camera at the moment, but I am going to save up and buy one. This isn't a picture of my seedlings, but this is about how big they are right now just so you can kind of get a picture on how big my seedlings are :) Note: this isn't a picture of my seedlings, it's just an example of how big they are

I had to lower my humidity from 70% to 65%. There was moisture building up on my windows and I can't open a window due to the neighbors might smell something. There was a wet smell and I had to lower it a little bit. But they are two or three weeks old so it shouldn't be that bad at 65% right? It's as high as I can go without smelling a damp smell

Do you not have intake/ exhaust & circulating fans running?

I have a tent in a room with the carbon filter and fan connected and the ducting that is connected to the fan and filter is just sitting in the room recircuiting the air, it's not hanging out of a window or anything. It would be too obvious to the neighbor if I put the ducting out the window. It's just pumping the air out and bringing it back in. I have no other choice dude. It smells like a wet towel in there when it's 70% humidity so I had to lower it to 65%. I have a fan on the floor that is oscillating. The temps are sitting around 24c/75f. I cannot sleep in a room that is 70% humidity. I can just about stand 65% humidity
