Hello all,
I'm in the process of making an ever clear based tincture but I think I don't want to wait for weeks to use it. Which process of heat or the freezer should l use to expedite the extraction? I would love some assistance
 
Well i think an alcohol tincture is the quickest way of extraction.

Get some 98 percent ethanol from the bay, decarb your herb grind, add alcohol, wait a couple of hours even less.
Strain out herb using coffee filter.
 
I don't care about reducing the water content before adding the alcohol. Nor do you need to put it in the freezer.

when you boil off the iso, you let the oil to sit at 110 c for an hour, this removes any remaining water.

You can do that, but the quality of the concentrate is diminished by non target elements such as chlorophyll and water solubles.

Removing the water first and or freezing the material, locks the water and water solubles up in ice, so that they aren't extracted along with the targeted elements.
 
Thank you to everyone for the help. I used about 12 ounces of ever-clear and about 1 1/2 ounces of abv and it's been in a jar for a week now. Is it ready or should I use heat to help evaporate the alcohol or the freezer? I would like to get rid of the taste of the alcohol if I could.

Ummmm, you are past ready.
 
10-15 grams decarbed flower, do not grind, stuffed into filter bag, double sleeve, 8oz. Everclear, place in freezer minimum 12hrs. Combine, shake well every 3hrs. over next 12 hrs., remove, suspend bag over jar, let bag drip dry, evaporate/reduce by 50%, maybe 80% using abv. ( I now use the Source Extractor, to reduce and reclaim alcohol). I combine 1-2ml with 1/2 gram of the stripped bud in a cup of yogurt 2-5 hrs. before lights out. DO NOT operate machinery within 12 hr. of ingestion. Just my 2 cents.

decarbed kief, Bicardi 151,set in cuboard, shake when I open the cuboard, usually twice a day +
longer is stronger, Im in no hurry so I go 4-6 wks

hey you can refine it further by using a buchner funnel and using a diatomaceous earth filter... I just got mine and the end product is crazy good

As variation that I do is I save all leaves and stems etc during my grows until I have stuffed a gallon pickle jar. I shred and smash and pack tightly as I can and then I topp it off with 195everclear. I stick it in my closet and every few days I open it and smash and stir. Longer is stronger here too. When a month has passed and I am in the mood -the liquid is a black oil with tinge of green and syrupy, I pour the liquid off and strain it with a old school kitchen towel and the using coffee filters. The I assemble a double burner/hotplate and fill the bottom partially with water and heat it until there is stream rising. I use it temp reader to keep an eye on the temperature and when it’s reduced enough I use a couple 20 cc syringes and draw the liquid off as soon as it’s somewhat cool but still warm so it is easy to do. I cap the syringes and use a hand centrifuge for a few minutes. That separates the impurity’s and I am able to push the Amber oil out and store or use it as I choose.
I’ve been doing that 4ever. I should really study up on how everyone else is doing it.
