Looks good, no need to let the root grow so big. It kinda wastes a lot of good growing energy the seed had stored up. I put right in soil when the root is about 1/8 to a 1/4 inch long. Seed shell up of course.
Great idea , clam up if there short.

These larger ones have already turned , hopefully there a bit of burn left in there.

How/why is it wasted energy the seed/plant will use the root to take up nutrient so I fall to see any waste?

Personally I would just usually plant in oasis if they were fems but in the case I have some sorting to do.
And then I have seen bostonbob process were he does 40 and then selects only the strongest looking ones .
I was not getting that technical, just to have them all sprout is great.
I can say 1 did grow right between the towel and was pain the towel to get out.

I soak them 90% of the time I don't see a problem with it.

I've also been caught out with too a long tap root a few times but it's not made any odds the seedling still grows from it as you'd expect.

Maybe if you broke the tap root it would be energy wasted but even then imo it might still grow, I've broken a tap root and had no problem with the seed growing afterwards so if you do break one don't write it off.

Small adjustments to the MarsHydro sun through the week.

The majority look good with a couple were the leaf lays a bit off, 380 ppfd just under canopy. Will keep an eye on that a maybe back off a bit.

Cool. I just plant the seed in the coco and it grows fine every time. Popped hundreds of beans. What's the benefits of the "vertical ziplock bag method"?

I have watched @bostonbob process of selecting just the most vigorously growing ones and I just wanted to see what would happen.

I think a more gravitational pull happens when there suspended resulting in quicker response times. bongsmilie

I feel like good genetics seem to always sprout through the seed in about 48 hours if you're not careful. I bought a seed sprouter instead after I broke a couple tap roots.

I look back at a photo from 10 hours before and two were not sprouted so I left for the extra time to see all of them pop.
I could also see the one stuck in the towel. Not as deep though.
All in all it worked well.
I have sorted in what I think could be the keepers , but it’s still a bit early in the game.

I have set up for dli read from there tired appearance at days end . 380ppfd at this time and gauge left to capture info.
