When you See Pistils

how tall is yalls plants normaly? im growing a auto for the first time and it is a little over 3 weeks old and i can start to see pistils on top where the new leaves form from and she is only about 2 to 2.5 inches tall with pushing out her 6th node as we speak. is this normal or is my plant super small?
im using 2 23w cfls right now with reflectors

sounds like you've got a dwarf on your hands...thats pretty short even for an auto at 3 weeks :D

haha possibly is there anyway i can prolong the life of her? i herd that super thrive makes the plant have a delayed flowering or it helps keep it in veg

dank, you do not want to try and change the life cycle of your auto, It will severely effect the production of the plant . Just because it is showing signs of sex now, does not mean it will not produce well. I expect roughly 1 - 1.5 zips off a dwarf with ~400W of light. I have taken almost 2 zips of fire from dwarf's and ryders.

1-1.5 expected and pulling almost two a plant? Any special advice on that? System? Light timing?

alright thanks everyone i wnt to add some more light but if i do the temps will go even higher and thats not good its already 81 in there sometimeduring the day. i just need bigger fans.

2- 23 watt cfl will not sustain any plant long, you need more light... as far as there size when they show sex, mine show sex at about 2"-4" tall about as soon as there 5th set of leafs come out usually about 14 days for males 16-21 days for the girls and they finish at 24-28" 5 weeks later...but you still need more light...

alright thanks im gonna put more light in and figure out my heat problem also

hardly any heat with cfls ----take a 2x4 and go to lowes get 10 ceramic lite fixtures---20.00 2 packs of bulbs and a ol cord.wire fixture together with cable and screw 5 to each side of 2x4 --5 dollar piece of flashing and you Got a nice REFLECTOR and cheap does real good for lowryders100_3418.jpg

and i got 5 more like her under those lights so you can do 6 lr#2s under 8 to 10 lights with a homemade hood

This is my first autoflower grow and I have the opposite problem. Mine showed pistils at 5weeks and 2'+ tall under a 2' T5 HO 110 watts of fluorescent light. Here she is 9 days ago. No complaints , just very different.
