The company is probably buying from Kingbrite so why pay more when you can pay less?
We'll have to see, I filled out their contact form, will see if they get back to me. Kingbrite is registered in California's secretary of state as a foreign company, and it makes more sense that the shenzhen factory is US owned, as a lot are.

Got 10x CXA3070 3K AB from Jerry in a week time! Everything was packaged well and I also got reflectors/holders for free! So can highly recommend! By the way I just got mail from Jerry that they got 40 packs 3K AB bins more, so if anyone needs, hurry up! ;)

Glad to hear all this. I just ordered 10 cxb3070's 3000k from Jerry :) 38.50 each plus 45 bucks shipping. Now if I can only find somebody selling
HLG-185H-C1400A drivers I will be in business. Everywhere I look, they are on back order.

He has 78, 90, 120° lenses for the 3070s and 3590s, looks similar to the stella lens from ledil but sounds like it's actual glass and not silicone but highly efficient (supposedly 97%) o_O
Yeah I can browse their website too. Actually, I've done it.
But I'd love to see some more detailed pictures, especially of holder/reflector assembly.

Don't confuse efficiency and transmittance.

From what I have read, there is about 4% loss before the light gets inside (skimming off laterally), 2% loss once inside the glass and another 4% loss trying to get out. They can almost eliminate the first 4% loss using anti reflective coating, eliminate the 2% loss by using low iron glass, and eliminate the other 4% loss using anti reflective coating on the exit side, creating a true 99% lens.

The standard borosilicate (high temp) glass lenses we get from China are not low iron and not AR coated, so they end up with about 10% loss total. When they call them 98% lenses, they are referring to the losses inside, meaning they are not using low iron glass.

Apparently the AR coating is not robust and not a DIY project :( It would make sense to at least have it on the COB side and get that 4% back. All that said, I am still optimistic of the potential for lenses to help out our mid/hard-running COB guys to put the photons where they want them.

Just put in order for some 3590's, Jerry said will custom make the 36vf version. they only stock mostly the 72vf version. Doe's more light come from higher voltage or are they more efficient or both?

So basically it's just preference of what you'd rather do? More drivers less current vs less drivers higher current? Both come out within decimals of each at like 48.7w or something like that. I asked for the 36v version of the 90cri's because I wanted to fit more per hlg but started asking myself if maybe the high voltage took load off the breakers running a lower current, less load on the individual emitters, etc.

Only difference I can think of is that you can get much more options driving single 36V 3590.
They're dead even when running off high voltage HLG--xxxH-C drivers.

What sucks is I only have 3 HLG-185H-C700A's the others are on their way I even picked up a couple of C500A's for when I get my CXB's I can only build 1 light. Lucky for me I have already drill and tapped my 3 large heat sinks. I'll have to get more for my smaller panels.
What about retrofitting the cxa's with the CXB's. then using the cxa's else's where. That is what I'm doing. I want the best in the money spots...then I'll play around elses where and in junk draw builds.
Everything is all ready to go...should only take a couple mintutes to remount and screw back down.

I have flowered under all white AT's(6100k). Their red enhance spectrums out yielded and better flower development. But that was same intensity vs same intensity.
The increased efficiency/output of the top bun 5k might make up for the spectral deficiencies. That is the exact concept that made me go straight 4k instead of enhancing it with red monos.
