I was reading about phil robertson and his comments in that gq article and this really struck me..this guy is such a big fail:




Robertson thinks the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor because they didn't believe in Jesus. "All you have to do is look at any society where there is no Jesus. I’ll give you four: Nazis, no Jesus. Look at their record. Uh, Shintos? They started this thing in Pearl Harbor. Any Jesus among them? None. Communists? None. Islamists? Zero. That’s eighty years of ideologies that have popped up where no Jesus was allowed among those four groups. Just look at the records as far as murder goes among those four groups."



1. nazis are not a religiion
2. communism is not a religion
3. islamists god is allah
4. japanese shinto use multiple gods "kami"
 
I never implied that he said nazi or commi was a religion. Both were had the political policy of nearly forced secularization of the country. So he is right about them.

As to Islamist and traditional Japanese beliefs, yep, they don't believe in Jesus. Well, Islam believes he was born of a virgin, so they think he was a pretty special dude, just that Muhammad supersedes Jesus, so he takes a back seat.

He was right.

The inferences you made were the fail. Unless you care to elaborate further?
 
I guess you don't get what he's saying. He's saying those people didn't have Jesus in their ideologies and so they do/did what they do/did.

So in short, he says they are evil because they don't believe in Jesus in those societies. Not that those societies were a religion.

And I think that his thoughts on that are stupid. They do/did what they do/did cuz they're whackadoodles.

People who don't have Jesus in their heart are capable of truly horrific things.

No one could truly know Jesus and do something bad.

i totally got what he was saying..he compared 2 ideologies and 2 religions to his "belief" of jesus..who made him the authority?..

Sorry, did not come off that way at all. And I disagree. He is saying they did what they did because they don't have Jesus.

No one said he was the authority. He was asked for his opinion. He gave it. You don't like it and that's fair. But to say who made him the authority... That's not fair. If someone disagrees with you, then who made you the authority?

Are you talking about that time you were seconds away from murdering your gay drug dealer, or the time you robbed your Mom and Dad?
 
97% of Christians believe Jesus is the son of God. This is settled theology so no debating it.
