Schuylaar's Sesh - ACA Violations

The ones that you deem have "too much".

Seriously canndo, I think most liberals have good hearts and intentions. but when it comes solutions, I have yet to see any that doesn't involve taking from others.

This is a character flaw I can't get behind. The petty jealousy and envy comes through when discussing things like taxes.

you mean the 1 in 4 that offshores their money?

it's legal loopholing.

Yep. Those greedy bastards are the ones I'm talking about. Let's take their shit in the name of fairness.

I think you accidentally proved my point.

everyone and his brother knows the tax code needs reform..and keep in mind that there is no longer a seamless entrance into middle-class..just one run-on class of people until you get to the steep tick upward on the chart for 1%ers..we have truly arrived at the haves and the have-nots..

Colorado did its own exchange.

Absolutely maddening to be part of this fiasco. Great skiing now and we can't enjoy it without some healthcare in place.

so your application has been completed online? what kind of "code" are you looking for? have you tried the site again to see if they've UL patches?

I think we have gotten back there more than arrived. The 19th century was very disproportionate but stats were harder to come by. We have a huge economic crash coming our way if we don't do something about our corporate laws. I prefer our country when the majority of us worked for small businesses. What our policies have brought us is more and more advantages to the big guy and impediments to the little guy.

Every new regulation we place on businesses is blockade to the have nots to become haves. The ACA encourages hospitals to join the corporate side and doctors to join the hospitals.

The wealth disparity in this country is alarming, but our efforts to decrease this is only window dressing. Take some from those rich bastards and give to the poor (while created new regs and deductions and incentives that help them) isn't working.

I hate to pull a libertarian/somalia type line, but the country with the most equal economic footing is North Korea. Equal in misery should not be our goal.

You start out at the ColoradoConnect web site. To see pricing you get redirected to a Colorado Medicaid site that takes your financial information and calculates what level of subsidy you qualify for. If you qualify for a subsidy, the site kicks out a code number that you have to re-enter back at the ColoradoConnect site. After many attempts we finally got to the point where our subsidy code number was about to be spit out at us and everything crashed. The fuckwits that designed the system set it up for the code word to be shown one time only online. If you do not record it or lose it, you can only be given that code number again by calling the exchange. When you call the exchange you only have the option of leaving a message. You leave your message and now 3 weeks later we have had no call backs. We leave a new message every other day.

We have tried working with professional insurance brokers and they have not been able to help us either. Completely fucked up!!!

here's the trick:

government marketplace told me how to get the code..fill out another application using different email addy..just set up a gmail..clear out your cookies..and start fresh..have pen ready to capture code..let me know if this worked..you should be okay..it's what i had to do.

Relatively nobody works for 7.25. If you are worth a fuck $12/hr is easily obtainable. At that wage, with a modest lifestyle, one can save enough money for a home downpayment fairly quickly, provided your significant other and yourself are on the same page. At that wage if one chooses to buy a new car, they can't get ahead.

Many folks make between 12 and 15 an hour. That isn't get rich money, but it is enough for comfort of disciplin is part of your life. If you raise the minimum wage to 10 or 12, those people don't get a raise proportionate to the minimum increase, if at all, so you effectively eviscerate the folks who are on the threshold of becoming middle class.

You do realize your zealous advocacy for an increase in the loser wage will harm many folks who are just starting to get ahead, do you not?

Thank you for the tip! It boggles my mind that this is the best they could do.

it's the best they can do now..if you've ever worked for a large corporation you would know that beta and roll-outs are often complexities filled with bugs..it's life..but i reached out to you with the what should work.

let me know.

When we require a license to sell lemonade, who are helping and who are we hurting?

I understand the intent, to make sure we are not poisoned by bleach sold as lemonade. The results though are we can still be poisoned by bleachade, but we have to buy it from the major corporations because all the regulations and impediments are just a blockade the corps competition.

If my 10 year old niece wanted to open a stand and her friend wanted to help for a dollar an hour I think that would be cute as hell and would encourage it.

The best way to increase wages for menial jobs is to have more menial jobs than people who are willing to work for low wages. What happens to the labor supply and demand if we open our borders? The last CBO report to come out this week predicts over a million jobs lost if min wage goes up to 10.10 an hour.

(I'm for open borders, so don't take it that way, I'm just pointing out we are potentially adding 10 million unskilled workers to an already bloated work force).

And actually Robin took the money back from the rulers that was stolen from the poor in the form of taxes. What you want to do is what Robin Hood fought against.

I will let you know for sure and appreciate the help.

Please understand that I am still very pissed about the complete LIES that were told to get this passed. I lost my health insurance because of the ACA and we will lose our pediatrician too if and when we can get signed up.

And I have worked for a large corporation. It would have been unthinkable to roll out a product that was this badly built. This is WAY beyond a few bugs.

large corporations pay a non-living wage and defer to "social services" to make up the difference..and who do you think is in charge of paying the difference?: you and me.

EDIT: and there is not ONE CPA (republican or democrat) who doesn't think we need tax code reform..even the kind that finds mitt romney's loopholes and reduces his effective rate to 11%.

Yes, our tax code is in shambles and protects the corporate way.

GE pays little to no taxes.

If we just reform corporate law to where GE would pay the same rate as Billy Bob's Light bulbs and tackle, we would see major recovery in this country. Instead, we look at the rich and see how they get to write off vegas trips as business expense and want to raise corporate rates even more.

Where is the best incentive to open new business? In the US where businesses pay the second highest rate in the western world? or in a place like Ireland where it's only about 9 or 10%

Our lust to punish the big guy leads to knee jerk new impediments that only hurt the little guy while cutting deals with those that gave campaign donations. The politicians then get to say see? we raised their rates, when guys like Romney pay nothing on income. They get to call their income something else. It's a shell game and 1st level emotional thinkers fall for it.

Warren Buffet called for higher tax rates on the rich while in a fight with IRS over billions that they claim he owes and he claims he doesn't. Bet you thought Buffet was being righteous though.

Okay, wife says she had our insurance broker submit for the subsidy with a different email last week and they got an error message stating that a subsidy number had already been assigned to our social security number. Do you think new patches are being put in that might allow it to work this week? Maybe we will try again tonight. Applying isn't all that bad, but after you try like 20 times, it gets demoralizing.

Thanks again for your help and sorry for being grumpy! Just smoked a bowl and am doing better.

i agree but the president has 2 million employees and his cabinet insulates him well, unfortunately.
