That's not a good sign,

so basically the lifetime warranty is meaningless
I think youll find it say limited lifetime warranty.

Im sure in that clause would be something about the panel changing ownership...

If it was my product I wouldnt want to offer warratny on how others shipped or delivered the unit.... just saying

This is all they have listed:

2013 Area 51 LED SGS-160 + 2014 Area 51 LED XSG-190
model warranty coverage:

Bumper to Bumper warranty:
We will replace any part that fails due to manufacturing defects during the first 24 months, free of charge and we'll pay shipping.

In the event that the light needs to be sent to us for repair (highly unlikely, the lights are designed to be easily fixed and future upgraded by the customer), the customer pays shipping to us (they will be fixed in the USA), and we'll pay return shipping.

After 2 years we will still offer replacement or upgrade parts), but there is a fee for parts, it will be sold at wholesale pricing, which will be roughly $250 for the entire lamp upgrade, and shipping will be cheap because no heat sink or case needs to be shipped. That $250 is subject to change in the event that we ever use more expensive LEDs than the original, though that price will not increase much at all, if at all.
No mention of warranty in receipts. If I gave the buyer the receipts, how would they even know he wasn't the buyer?

Anyhow the listing was updated and price changed. The buy-it-now feature insists on a 30% markup from starting price, so I'd have to start the bids too low to get a reasonable buy-it-now price.

I'm trying to make a decision between the Blackstar, Solarflare and Apollo 300 W, any information would be really appreciated. I've read so much in this thread I'm unsure of which way to go. Also, I'd prefer one light from seed to bud, is that feasible with LEDS?

Hmmm. You will likely get contrary opinions on your ?

My view is: you want more blue than red (but you want some red to promote root development) in early veg, THEN, once buds set, you want ~20-30% more red

If the panel/light has 3 o/o switches then one light fits most

I'm a little confused while reading the replies so please bare with me. I know next to nothing about LEDs, I'm familiar with lighting in general as I used to grow under Flour, MH, HPS. I have not invested in a HO Florescent 4 light 2' fixture (I'd rather use this for Veg and switch to LED since I understand it's the best way to go). I have a small grow, 2-3 plants in a 2'x3' space that is also 5' high. I was thinking of making the top portion my clone housing and my bottom portion as my budding area and separating both by a divider.

Now, I want an LED for budding because of the low heat factor, low electrical draw and overall reviews I've read. Now, if I got with the Solarflare which one should I get? They have a bloom booster, a setup for both veg and blooming and another strictly for veg. I may increase the size of my grow in time so I was looking to maybe get the fixture that is good for both veg/blooming. Can I get pro's and cons of doing this? I ordered Blue Mystic and OG Cush from Nirvana and am awaiting their arrival. Also I'm using a water farm setup. Sorry for the long winded post.

LED is evolving so fast that 411 from 6 month ago is barely useful today.

Until white diodes improved, most of us were stuck using some combination of red and blue (both are elements of white)

Pretty much no single commercial light is going to do all well

You want more white (~4500-65000K) for veg, which is why many USE hot5s, which are no longer needed (see link below)

In that small space consider 1 dual cob white (> 100 lpw) http://www.ebay.com/itm/Reflector-Cup-150w-LED-High-Bay-Light-Industrial-Factory-Exhibition-Warehouse-/190950302301?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2c7586625d

then add 2 single flower lights (I ordered 2 for my tent)

Pet,

Thank you very much. I received my seeds and I realized I'm going to buy a tent.. I will keep my HOT5 for Veg (I keep reading how this is effective when attempting to keep nodes tight) and then switch to an LED For Bloom. I think the tent I get will be able to hold 3-5 plants so the UFO light may not be effective. Do you think it better to just get one of the lights I asked about or would you still go UFO?

Hi guys. Very informative thread! Plenty of knowledge in this room. I have a 4x8 tent atm running 2-600w HIDs. I just bought another 4x8 tent to set up mostly for veg and clones and have decided to invest in LEDs for their energy savings. With roughly $1000 to spend right now, I was thinking of buying just one Led at the moment and install it on a light mover. Does this sound feasible and if so, which light would you recommend? Another option, Growers House has a sale on the old 200 watt Cali Solarflares right now, would 3 of them be a better bang for my $$ or just one large Newer model for now? After reading 163 pages, I feel like I know you guys personally! Lol I would love to hear your suggestions.

LEDs can be just as effective as ho for veggin. It's all about the spectrums

Not familiar with Solarflare

Not a fan of the driver setup, but man, that thing does look sweet.... lol

I like the caseless look.

What's the coverage like? Recommended height? Total output?
