smidge...I noticed that two of the plants are drooping way worse than the others....And my humidity sometimes is in the low teens....

So it just may be that those two are strains that are more susceptible to those things....The good thing is all of them are exhibiting nice growth....

I was thinking of possibly putting in a humidifier if need be...But I also know that you do not want higher humidity during flowering because of moldy buds....

Do they droop like that all of the time Spaaacie or do they perk up some after watering? If thay are not getting too dry then they could be getting root bound in those little cups.

They are pretty much like that all the time....I checked the bottom of the cups yesterday and I saw some roots at the bottom of some of them.....so I prepped some new soil, and I am about ready to transplant.

Oh, and I am assuming your avatar smoked some weed from your last grow, and that's why he is acting the way he is ?

well I just did the transplant...almost all of them except one or two I think were pretty root bound....I think next time around I will be going with air-pots from the start, and no party cups....Anyhoo, here are some pics of the transplant....

A few after pics....I just realized I got 13 bulbs on now...that's almost max for the fart fan I have...Think it's time to order the new high powered fan so I will be ready when it's time to add more lights.

They're going to really like those air pots Spaaacie. Do you know the name of the ones with the big fat droopy leaves? They really look like an indica of some kind. I wonder if a little droop is normal for them???

The ones with the indica-like leaves are as follows :

BS - bag seed
DBS - definite bag seed
DGBS - definite good bag seed

the BS and DBS probably came from some Mexican schwagg or something

the DGBS has a chance to be something known

that shit happens quick huh, good job on the transplant, they'll be happy now. i fim mine at the 3rd or 4th node, that way when there growing good, its about time for flowering. looking good bro!!

bro, this is how ive done it on all my grows, not autos though, you cant top them. and i always get at least 4 main tops.

is this considered topping or fimming ? And can you do it on a sativa or indica ?

Also, it looks like I have 4 definite sets of nodes on all or most of the plants now...When is a good time to top or fim ? thanks

Oh ya..One last thing...should I wash the scissors with hot water before I use them ? Or sterilize them some how ?

its fim, which the best meaning i found stood for fuck i missed, which means if it dont work the first time you can just do it again on the next node when it grows out. the wild weed is sativa and it has 4 main colas, i think i did it on the 3rd set of leaves and you've seen that thing, LoL.

now, on the set that looks like the pic, you want to take about 85% of that bud looking part off. wipe them down with alcohol, thats what i do.

i had one plant back a while ago that i did twice and got like 10 main tops. its back in the thread somewhere. if im correct, topping is just cutting the whole stem off, right??? good luck bro, you can do it, LoL.

haha thanks for the home depot encouragement....It feels weird cutting it....I guess since I've never done it, and the plants seem so small...

Ya, damn....definitely unsure now about the herbies....I may have not had the perfect temps though when I was tryin' to germinate...but it does make you wonder...What's up with all the freebies ? Do they know half their seeds are bunk and won't germinate ? So they give you some free ones ?

well cd...I went and read topping vs fimming for a while...My head was spinning...I was gettin tired, and about ready to fall asleep...But I couldn't help but wonder if I should fim or not...My gf who was half asleep asked me what I was doing up still..I said I was debating trying a new gardening technique...She said why don't you try it on just one of the plants....Well I didn't do anything...But then I thought about some of your plants with the BIG multiple colas you had in past grows...Then after a while I got up, and said I was heading downstairs to do some doctoring...She said, "I knew it" lol....

So yepp, I am no longer a fimming/topping virgin...I fim'd them all.....pics to follow...

The last one I might have actually fucked up the Fuck I missed and cut it a little low, lol damn....that is actually one of the plain old bag seed plants...it also is probably the worst looking plant of them all....Anyways these pics are also the 2 week veg pics as well....

Maybe you cut too high on the rest of them and the one you thought you cut too low was cut just right. If you cut too high you won't see much difference. If you cut too low you topped the tip and should end up with 2 colas. Keep us posted!

dam i swear i posted something here yesterday, now i cant remember what i said, LoL. it was something about a short time period for cutting that tip right, just when it looks like a little bud. i did one a few grows back and "fuck i missed" and i had a bunch of half leaves and it looked like a head of lettuce. i did it again on the next node and all was good, 4 tops. like i said, if it doesnt work the first time you can just do it again, i dont think it hurts anything??? oh yeah, you want to it early in veg so the plant recovers and gets going again strong before it goes into flowering.

CD, ya we'll see how they recover...I checked them about 18 hours later or so, and it appeared there was no growth anywhere...I am assume it was a mini-shock to them or something....I will check later tonight which would have been about 2 days....Hopefully they get right back on track....

I went with the fim'ing method as it seems it is fairly popular on here...I also see that Uncle Ben has a topping technique as well for producing more colas...You wait till the plant grows 4 or 5 nodes I think it is then you cut the stem just above the second set of nodes....I guess you live and learn somewhat when it comes to weed growing....Maybe someday I'll try that method too....

I picked up my nutes today....Last grow I only used Jack's Classic all purpose 20-20-20....I couldn't find that though after we moved...So I picked up another container of it along with the Jack's Blossom Booster 10-30-20...I am thinking maybe another week or so before I start using them....Jack's are at the Nice Price...Anyone remember buying tapes from Record Theatre with the stickers on them that said "Nice Price" ? lol

when i bought my jacks it was $3.95 a tub from a local nursery, that was a while ago. i think that was from the grow in the late 90's. i still have them out on the porch, LoL. it will take a few days to notice the new growth.
