yeah... getting 3-5 different brands n testing them out 1st hand is wonderful but costly. not to mention that you will probably have a favorite at the end n wish you had bought all of that panel.

im checking out your grow now :)

^^^VIPAR is a decent panel that doesn't cost an arm and a leg, especially if you're in Europe. Have you looked at them yet? I keep hearing JoyHydro but haven't seen anyone using one. Always beware of LED panel makers that are unknown, unless you're willing to take the good with the bad.

Hi, I need a help with this problem.. Use hps again or try led?

A 1000w hid hps bulb puts out 140000-150000 lumens initially .............cree mk-r (nw/cw??)puts out 200lm per watt(top bin @ 350ma) and is not a prototype

Thanks for the correction. I took this information off of the box of my generic bulb. Am I understanding right that the Cree MK-R is a multi-chip design not a single chip. Here is what I found when researching. So is this basically a COB chip with multiple LED's to produce that amount of lumen?

The XLamp mC-e LeD is a family
of lighting-class, multi-chip LeDs
that provides high lumen output
in a small package. Compared
to discrete LeDs, XLamp mC-e
LeDs reduce the distance between
LeD die, creating a small optical
source for excellent optical control
and efficient color mixing. XLamp
mC-e LeDs can reduce LeD system
complexity by reducing the number
of components required.

Try this on for size. Since the costs difference between the brand/generic can be as much as 4x, you can look at this as having two positive options. The first is is like having the option to buy a the latest factory panel(generic) brand versions, along with the latest technology from the same production line and the bins classification is the oldest manufacturing rip-off tactic anyone in manufacturing will attest to this fact.

Thank u for having the faith to do so. :blsmoke: U will be in a surprise to see the reason why I left. I left becasue I was hinted that I got a little too deep into the true nature of this industry's nature. And by the way, I just happened to be attacking and picking apart a chinese panel. If u can, please share your views after completion.

FORGOT, THE SECOND OPTION WOULD BE 4X THE WATTAGE FOR THE SAME COSTS.

Just like Hyroot pointed out, we need some more info. What size HPS were you using? Was there a problem with heat or electrical use? The more info you can provide the more options people can come up with.

No need for french here as we all speaks english and most true Americans should refrain from supporting the french as they betrayed us in the early Iraq days and only came on board later when they couldn't save their oil nuke interests since I think they're the ones who built it for Saddam. And post pics so u can apply this kind of attitude and debunk it as photoshop or borrowed pics. Why don't u spend the tinme to verify this on some of my other threads and see how much pitching and bs I spewed on those thread and u're more than welcome to ask for their audience;s opinion of me. Try GrassCity under "complete led set-up" and see how much of a pitcher I am and the bs I posted. Verify before making these unfounded attacks. Grow up bud, no need for these childish attitude. U can rephrase this in a much more civilize and professional manner. U honestly think u have any power over me or I have to give u respect when u have none for anyone.

Hmm... They want pics how many do they need. I will put one up . If you want more I can do that.. Maybe they want me to scan my grow log also.... I am getting weary of these "Know it ALL's" They probably never experienced real Acapulco Gold or Colombian Red or some prime Hawaiian Sensi... They probably don't even know what Black Star Hash is.... Enough Said.

Oh so you and monkey magic are both from grasscity circle jerk.

those are eshines aquarium line. Low quality build. High failure rates. No good
I was referring to the ones he inquired bout from that hydro place. I nver said or comment it was good. U can get better deals and sans the bells & whistles. I don't think the ambient light at night will offer much in terms of par and intensity. Besides, I thought we're supposed to leave them alone when they sleep. Another possible break down in line of the kiss principle.

I think u might of got the wrong page cause they're the generic Matrix-X from ledzeal. I have the complete brochure and pricing but rather u go direct for obvious reasons. Try google.

^^^^ ledzeal is the rebrand name. There's only a handfull of Chinese companies that make all the cheap leds. For example ledzeal and lush are both from eshine. Vipar is from evergrow. then evolution led, kind led, Dutch passion led, gro blu, fero and about 50 others are all apollos from cidly. Top led and a bunch of eBay leds are from LG and evergrow

Holy cow! This is the poster child of what I'm talkin' bout people. The buck and bs stops here with the monkey. Again, try this on for size. :hump:
are you losing your mind or just venting frustration?

I AM RUNNING A MEDICAL GARDEN FOR SOME VERY SICK PEOPLE AND SIMPLY WANT TO CONVERT A SECTION (4X4) TO LED TO DIP MY TOE IN THE NEW POND. if i can cut the cooling needs and overall power consumption then cost for my patients will go down quite a bit. seems like an endeavor worth venturing into.

i have seen so many led companies, branding, units and im losing my mind. im not interested in learning so much about leds that i can sit there and outsmart the companies making em. i have completely avoided LEDs for years and probably saved myself a ton of frustration n disappointment. if i cant get solid guidance making sure that wont happen now, im just gunna stay with my HIDs.

QUIT HUMPING AIR!!! hahaha

that is all kiss-ass

OK here are some LED Light panels. One is from the commercial light the other direct from the manufacturer IMG_0967.jpg

Same part numbers.... I have been in manufacturing for over 30 years with extensive experience in sourcing/ purchasing parts. I also see no one hardly ever mentions OSRAM LED's... Let's just put this to rest. There are members seeking guidance and help on LED grow lights.
