Did i harvest these buds early? Were these still in vegetative state?

They smell sweet not pungent!
i read that harvest when hairs turn brown and they are brown really!
but their size is too small as compared to what i have seen on google.

You were WAY EARLY there are not any trichomes visible so I would guess 4-6 weeks early. As asked above, how long were they in flower?

I would agree it looks like a very hermied plant. It looks like you have some buds but that there are a lot of male parts and probably seeds mixed in. I see how you actually do have some brown hairs... but the mass is ridiculously small, obviously... that's not even dried yet... it will be almost nothing after drying if I'm getting the scale right from the notebook paper it seems to be on.

I'm almost tempted to call trollin' on this. But I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and say that this was grown under bad conditions and hermied thoroughly and then died at a young age, which is why you saw brown hairs even though it's obviously undeveloped?

This was my first thought also. Kinda strange that a RIU member (obviously with little growing experience) wouldn't ask if their plant was ready to harvest before actually chopping it. ?????
