Dude,
Those don't work very well. You would do better with a few cfl's. Cheaper to run, better color temp, and more light.

With the rate the plants have been growing i've been keeping the lights about 3 in away. and moving every 4 days or so.
You just need to watch the heat then, make sure your not getting up around the 90's
EDIT: i just saw in your pic you have the same therm. as me. try and hold the thing at the top of the plants and see what it says. You'll only have to wait a min or two but could save you some heat stressed plants!

optimum temperature for marijuana is about 75 - 78 F. You can go up to 85 F with CO2 injection. Higher temperatures and you risk problems - depending on the strain of course. There are some heat-loving Sativas and some heat-hating Indicas out there.
Not having any intake really limits the amount of CO2 in your grow area. The fan is just blowing hot, stale air around inside. If you can, figure a way to get a constant supply of fresh air in.

I'm glad your digging it!!! You need to start a journal with lotsa pics!!!!!!85.3 isn't really bad, but like email said you don't want to go much higher! Add some yeast and sugar into a gatorade bottle with water. poke a whole in the top and shake and let the CO2 flow!

aight ill do that, i made a stupid mistake today with the lightingwhile aligning the wires, i accidentally knocked it down and it broke off two fan leaves of one plant, ive never been so mad

LOL, we all have moments like that. I dropped two CFLs on a clamp straight onto the top of one of mine! I didn't think it'd live but 10 min later it was straight!!! I guess they don't call them weeds for nothing!!

You'll be ok, one of my niphead kittens ate 1/3 of #1 when she was 2-3 inches tall. It set her growth back about 2 weeks but then she was fine. Oh and she's 42" +
