ghb - this is how i grow

the title says it all really, i would simply like to share some of my techniques for anybody who would like to know how it is i go about producing fine quality cannabis. there are many ways to grow and i myself even use a few different styles when i feel the situation needs it, i am a long way from done learning put it that way.

first i'll start by naming all of the products i am currently using or have used in the past that i feel work as they should.

canna coco natural (ok but occasionally has lumps in and shredded plastic)
canna coco pro+ (i notice no difference between this and the natural, only it costs more)
atami coco ( seemed exactly the same as the canna with no plastic though)

canna coco a+b base ( can be salty but very potent stuff, it's all i know)
canna pk 13/14 (very salty!, works wonders when used at the right time, again it's all i know)
atami bloombastic ( as viscous as a lump of clay, but it most certainly works!)
canna rhizotonic (stinky and expensive but it works, good for veg plants)
h+g roots excelurator ( perfect for cuttings and transplants)
canna zym (the catalyst for success)
plant magic granules ( helps transplants)
canna boost ( another so called snake oil that actually works)
blossom blood ( does initiate flowering sooner)

clonex rootig gel (brand leader for a reason surely)
root riot cubes (they come already moist ffs, how easy do you want it?!)
root it cubes (work just as well but i don't like the shape as much as the root riot)
root it high dome unheated propagator (cheap and flimsy but works fine)

6" single bulb cooltubes (great for lowering temps but they rob the plants of light)
adjust a wing reflectors ( give a much better footprint and have more penetration if you can handle the heat)
powerplant enviroglow cfl (awesome for cuttings and small veg plants)
maxibright 250w cfl ( i used to keep a mother, veg plants and cuttings under one with great results)
sylvania grolux 600w hps bulb ( great for near the end of flower as they are orange)
sunmaster 600w hps bulb ( more white and better for veg and early flower)
maxibright ballast magnetic 600w ( i hear some horror stories but i've used many with no problems)
powerplant ballast magnetic 600w (same as above, it worked for me so i can't slag it off)

easi rolls adjustable light hangers ( never had one fail, they save me a lot of time)
budclean scissors curved blade (cheap and very effective, i cut everything with these)
rvk 4" 6" 8" fan ( they are a very well made piece of kit,a tad loud though)
tornado 8" acoustic box fan ( moves a tonne of air, still far from silent though)
bluelab e.c truncheon ( they last for a very long time, e.c is just as important as ph for me)
hm digital ph pen (lasted me years)

now some will laugh that i choose to spend so much on some nutrients but will buy the cheapest bulb available but it's the the way i do things. i one day hope to have a grow room set up as i think it should be, with no expense spared or detail overlooked, but for now i make do.

if anybody has any constructive input then feel free to share, as i said earlier my mind is open to learning new things, enjoy.

(work in progress, this took a while to come up with so give me time to get into the swing of what the thread is actually about)

ok, so where do i start?........

an example of how i would set up a grow:

flower room: 2400w (4x 600w hps) in a 9x9 room
veg room: 125w cfl in a 4x4 tent

strain: exodus cheese

this is an 8 week flowering strain (i've chopped at 46 days and i've chopped at 76 days, it's done when it's done but this is an example) so in order to get 5 cycles a year from my flower room i will choose to have 2 weeks of veg in the flower room and still have two spare weeks to allow for the harvest and cleaning etc.

there is no mother plant on site, i instead take cuttings from my plants whilst they are in the flower room vegging, just before switching to 12/12. the cuttings will take 2 weeks to root properly in the propagator. then they will have six weeks to veg nice and slowly under the cfl until the flowering plants are done. i take at least double the amount of cuttings that i will need then simply pick the best ones to go into the flower room.

for this size room i will grow 4 plants per light in 20l pots, that is 16 plants in total, enough to give me anywhere from 3-5 oz per plant every ten weeks, it sounds so simple doesn't it?.

in reality it is very to maintain a garden like this but it is certainly possible with a lot of effort and more importantly love, if you don't love what you are doing then you are doing the wrong thing, i LOVE growing cannabis, even more than i enjoy consuming it. growing it for me is a lot more attractive and though i see myself maybe not toking one day, i don't know if i can picture me not having at least one plant growing.

even if you aren't as passionate as me it may develop as you grow, the positive effect it has on your life and mood could spark that love.

so for anybody who cares or wants to learn how i have had success growing weed please ask away, i will be trying to do a very detailed process (with pictures and videos for proof lol) of how i approach every aspect of the grow from seedling to smoking. it's not the best time for me because i'm busy but there is no time like the present as they say and i have been putting this off for a long time so i'll have to just do it as i go.

you may learn something, you may teach me a thing or two but if you don't tell me how will i know?

Now post some recent pictures of your plants and show everyone how much you over payed for basic looking plants.

No offense intended, but that's pretty much what happens most of the time.
Someone buys all the best stuff, buys tons more than they actually need, and end up with sub par plants.

ok so i'll basically start this as a journal, i will try and mention absolutely everything that happens in the grow from start to finish.

we recently harvested this garden and are looking to start again.

the day we chopped i brought some clones in .3l pots to veg so the tent was not empty for one day.

just thought i would share the results of my latest harvest

blue pit #1 - 700g
blue pit #2 - 600g
cheese - 520g

over .75 gram per watt which is good but not for the amount of time the grow took. i never planned this grow it was just what came to be, i would never recommend growing big plants if you have the choice.

lol yeh big plants can get a bit messy i tend to bend and chop them into place when they end up bigger than expected
im quite brutal with them rather than fussing to much
use lots of garden wire heavy bondage lol.. i like things to be neat too

peace :)

a couple hours more maintenance, basically more trimming lower stuff and supporting the main branches, the garden should be on cruise control now.
