i will be moving to an apartment soon from my house for the first time since i've taken up my hobby again.bongsmilie

i'd like ideas for stealth and discretion..proven tips/tricks from from those who have been in this situation before and would like to pass on that valuable information.

even the slightest bit advice will be appreciated.

thank you in advance!

a sealed space with negative pressure from a good, quality carbon filter is the only way to go.

your growing space has to be tight. no air leaks, no light leaks. everywhere a surface connects to a wall or another surface, you have to seal it with caulk or something else that precludes any air from escaping or compromising your negative pressure.

you'll need a fan powerful enough to create the negative pressure (simple CFM calculation) and a high quality carbon filter that you won't have to worry about.

the doors/opening will be the trickiest part to negotiate, always was when i was apartment growing.

I agree with UB^^^^ ( hate to admit that..lol :P)

Spare no expense on sealing and filtering the space. Having a backup filter mounted in the space on standby is highly recommended. One filter/fan failure and you know how bad the smell can travel.

I personally would refrain from growing anywhere where I do not control the flow of human traffic. (my .02)

I'd add that most apartments do some sort of yearly inspection, if you can find out when it's done and to what extent, it will help immeasurably. The apartment I live in now inspects in January.

I also started using led's and t-5's in lieu of my hid lights to cut down on noise and heat.

Smaller plants stink a lot less.

what kind of led would you use to replace a 400mh? also 1000hps?

i currently have a 4 bulb t-5 too.

what kind of yield do you get using led's?

For the 400:

For the 1000:

They yields are comparable but in my estimation still not as good as HID. I think the quality is better but maybe I need to believe that because I paid so much money for the fucking lights.

I grow super stealth from my living room bay windows of my apartment, which is half way up a high-rise.

my odor protection plan are those flowers in the back ground, plus a little dish of Ona near the door.

my thoughts are....if you don't like it, tell someone who cares

yeah you can use like pvc pipe or an old toilet paper roll , stuff bounce sheets into it and than cover the outside of the end with 1-2 pieces and wrap it with tape or an elastic.
take tokes and than blow into it

what we used to do in highschool all the time when we smoked while the parents are out
you do have to change it once every other day or so
also incense or candles work well with it ...plus makes your house smell nice
