now here's another interesting fact....All of the seeds you have produced will exhibit the exact same phenotypes as your original seed stock. It really depends on if your seeds had hermaphrodite genetics or was forced to sprout nanners due to stress.
Guess we'll see I'll be throwing one in 12/12 once they are transplanted

I trashed my clones and everything because you told me to start these Lucid X now your saying it's not a good idea?
I did not tell you to trash shit,I told you from the start they would be Herms or Fems!
Im saying dont BX them imo,now its probly from STRESS so I think you will be fine,BUT there is a chance of herms.

The Hermie Gene (H) is dominant. However, activation of the gene is possibly dependent on another genes activation (L). This would explain the different activation methods of the H- pheno, environmental or otherwise.

If your plant hermies without stress it would be the H-L- phenotype. (My Durban Poison is this pheno)
If it hermies under stress, it would be the H-l- phenotype. (My Cordiero is this pheno)
If it doesn't hermie under stress, it could be considered a "pure female" and would be hL or hl. (My NYCD is this pheno)

When Mendel allowed his peas to self pollinate, he got the 3:1 ratio consistent with an F1 hybrid. His peas are monecious, cannabis is dioecious so the comparison is not necessarily valid, but you could assume you'd get the same results with a hermied cannabis plant. If the parent was also a self pollinated hermie, the chances of a hermie are higher in the progeny than if the plant is an F1 cross of a hermie and a non hermie...

If a hermie pollinates another one of your plants, the results will be a Dihybrid F1 Cross of the two gene pairs. The initial ratio of 3:1 would apply to the H- pheno and the L- pheno, together giving you a 9:3:3:1 ratio, with the highest probability being that the progeny expresses the H-L- pheno, seconded by the H-l- and h-L- phenos. Neither of which are what you wanted. This type of set up will "drift" towards the dominant gene pair (H-L- or "always hermie" if the line is followed.

There is, still, the minor chance (1:15) that the recessive h- pheno will be present in your seedstock and you will have successfully bred Hermaphrodism out of an F1 hybrid of the two strains, which can be backcrossed with the original "pure female"to begin a line breed of the two strains, free of hermaphrodism, which can subsequently be used to backcross with the original hermaprodite to produce new combinations of genes within the lines.

Took a couple close ups of one of my Purple Monkeys. Really getting frosty and producing some fat round buds. Not showing a ton of purple yet but I can see it getting darker in person. It's been 47 days from sprout for PMs.

Haven't done an update for a while, don't know how many of you are still following lol.

First shot is of them all, the tall big colas are AKs, the shorter fat ones on the left you can't see too well but those are the Purple Monkeys.

The second and third shot are of two different AKs out of the five I have. The fourth and fifth are just two shots of the same Purple Monkey plant.

Well after the update I threw up here this morning, I came to the conclusion that my Purple Monkeys were getting pollinated and are beginning to produce seeds.

After close inspection I cannot find a nanner anywhere, so I decided to just remove all three of them. They are now in a room that gets natural sunlight all day, so now they'll be getting 15 hours of light. My plan is to let them finish and then chop them up and make BHO or QWISO, probably some of both knowing me. It sucks but shit like this happens sometimes.

I still have 6 AKs left, and they are all looking great. There might be a couple calyxes that got pollinated but for the most part I think they are still good to go. If I can get 1oz per plant, I'll be satisfied. They are all in 2g smart pots, except one is in a 3g. Won't know till they are dried and jarred though. They are 12/12 from seed as well so I don't know what to expect, I'm just hoping for the best.

I have the worse luck, my entire family always has. I guess it's in my genes.

I can't get the best pictures with my phone when the plants when the lights are on under the HPS, but here are a couple updated shots of the closest now. Six AK48s. Two are raised to keep up with the others height, but they all got some more room now with those PMs gone. If I can get 4oz all them all total, that'll last me till I harvest my next set of plants.

I'll have to get some comparison shots for the colas, they are long and fat. Haha. :p
