Police kill people over weed... it's not all that uncommon actually. And even when they don't kill people, they put a lot of those people in concrete cages for sometimes decades or more. I'm counting that in the realm of "extreme." You could almost call what they do "religion."

But sure, obviously it's not quite as bad as what i think you were referencing.

I do not fear the government, because they do not run anything but their mouths. I fear the ones behind the scenes that manipulate the system to their needs with a simple flash of money.

Those folks are the real monsters.

So all the unnecessary wars that are approved by congress, or the many laws that have been enacted that protect big pharma, the bankers, and the monsantos of the world, or the supreme court decisions (a corporation is a person, so they can contribute as much campaign $$$ as they want) are not to be feared?

They are only elected because we elected them, and we can kick them out

Basically, what we have here is a horrific example of what happens when you/we give our/your personal power away

We did not give our power away, it was systematically stripped from us over the last several decades and is still being stripped down as we speak. They have been told what to do for a long time and this will never change. Money and the lust thereof is truly the root of all evil .

You want to know what runs this and every other country, follow the money and your answer will appear.

I grew up in south Florida with colored water fountains

My jewish step-father (from the north east) was so prejudiced that when blacks first tried to integrate restaurants, even if we were eating he would leave and never go back

When I graduated HS in 66, we only had ONE black girl out of ~ 1000 students)

I went into the AF in 68 and met intelligent black guys. We all hung out together- meals, movies, sports...

When I came home on leave, and told my father, he was not happy to hear about it.

I am now 66. Have 2 very close black buddies, 2 of my closest friends. One was very political growing up in NY.

He helped me to understand MLK and Malcom X, 2 vg documentaries that anyone should see

Personally, I preferred MXs approach because the system needs to be turned upside down. Our government has no problem sending us into concocted wars, which are mostly about control of oil and natural resources (Confessions of an Economic Hitman is a must read). The banksters are running the con and we their pawns.

Until we combine forces and kick them the F out, it will only get worse

I fear the government will do anything to stay in power.

About 4 years ago I had to decide whether to try to amass wealth or not and decided it was safer to enjoy more of my time and make less money so I am not a target when the government cannot print worthless paper anymore.

The government will take our IRA's and 401K's and then they will come for our gold and when they have looted all of our assets the government will crash along with the economy. I am sure they will blame Bush.

If people are free then any government they have would be based on their individual voluntary consent.

If people are not free, they would automatically be encompassed by "their" government.
