I just tested the new rain water we got here in Denmark, it is only at 006 PPM and my tap water is about 600 PPM is my meter broken? or is that normal values?
Sure those #'s are VERY possible. Calibrate, and double check, if that will make you feel better. The 600ppm sucks! Sorry for you.I just tested the new rain water we got here in Denmark, it is only at 006 PPM and my tap water is about 600 PPM is my meter broken? or is that normal values?
That would be fantastic! If you have a constant supply of rain water. Good storage system? What would happen if i watered my plants with 006 PPM rain water and just ph regulated it?
I water about 3 times a week, 2 with fertilizer, so just the watering in between
Would it do any harm to the plant with that low PPM?
I really don't know much about the PPM
How to know? i have no idea, i have the HM TDS3 meter600 ppm at what conversion rate from ec?
Hehe wow, i don't know what to saySet to TDS mode. Compare readings. TDS x Conversion = ppm
Or just hit us with the tds microsiemen number.
If you have rainwater and it is under 150 ppm, use that. My hard water is about 450, so I RO my water down to about 80.Okay i'm definitely a noob at this ppm thing how do i know what scale? i just have the HM TDS3 meter
And yes i have a good supply of rain water and 2000 liter storage, i only got two plants
Total PPM is all that matters. For me it is about 150 ppm per foot of height. 10 foot ganja trees need a lot. My 4 footers get about 600.And ill start using the rain water, but how high should the ppm be in veg and flowering?
I looked up ur meter online, and it looks like it .5And ill start using the rain water, but how high should the ppm be in veg and flowering?
No, most are like that. It should say on the box it came in, or just google the maker's web site.Hehe wow, i don't know what to say
Maybe it's a fake ppm meter i got, it only have two modes, temp and ppm, got it from ebay -.-
As said, i have no knowledge at all in ppm/ec i don't know if my ppm is too high or too lowI looked up ur meter online, and it looks like it .5
Your 600ppm @.5 is heinous!
Google "tds conversion chart"
Start young ones at around .5 EC, then work your way up to around 1.5EC. Possibly higher
I have never been concerned about the ppm, until i got a TDS3 meter, and i found out that i always have been watering with a ppm over 500, but my GreenHouse Seeds Cheese has never had a single problem, and is growing like crazyAlmost all the conversion is .5. That seems to be the RIU standard.
I can't begin rooted clones at 500ppm, too strong. But when they get rooted and grow a bit, then they are much less sensitive to concentration.
