i'm pretty sure they do. voting is their constitutional right after all.
Buck..

I would do what ever it took to vote. I didn't have a credit card for a long time until I couldn't get a motel room or rent a car. Thats when I did what ever it took to get one. It's that simple. Oh and good luck in Nov. Don't forget to vote.

I don't buy all these registered voters without ID. I've only ever met one person who didn't use a DL as ID, but that was because he never learned to drive. He used a passport instead. If you have a recent utility bill in your name it proves residence. Proving who you are with ID though is like, useful 'n stuff in life. I can't think of one person I know or have met who can't come up with something to satisfy such a standard requirement.

I don't think it's unreasonable that you prove who you are when you vote. They allow more than one form of ID.

When you read this thread and threads like it, you'll notice a common theme amongst those who are against ID. It's the integrity of the vote that is the concern, it's that there "might" be less democrat voters.

It's odd, the ID law would be for all voters, not just dems, but there are a few who don't see it that way.

the integrity of the vote is a transparent and retarded excuse you righties use to try to disenfranchise minorities.

the integrity of the vote is already at 99.999849% you fucking stooges.

25% blacks at 93% democrat
20% asians at 73% democrat
19% hispanics at 71% democrat
18% age 18-24 at 60% democrat
15% <$35k income at 63% democrat

GEE, THAT'S NOT FUCKING OBVIOUS you fucking stooge.

Well, Buck, having been in those statistics myself and knowing others who have been as well, I still can't think of a single one of them who couldn't prove who they were.

If that's denying reality, then so be it. And save the GOP slop, I overwhelmingly vote Democrat.

You know it's funny. Numerous GOP officials have been cited saying Voter ID is about suppressing the vote and yet these right wingers on here are still trying to argue otherwise

they don't believe any reality except the alternate, false one they have concocted in their own minds.

The cost is not the issue. The issue is the fact that collecting anything from a citizen, including extra effort, will disenfranchise those that cannot, or will not, make the effort.

Voting must be free of all UN-neccessary inconveniences and be free of cost.

Oh come on. Getting a motel or car is much more important than voting. There is real, direct money, business cash flows, constant need, and your ability to pay that is in question. None of that applies to voting.

And now sophistry intrudes with this false comparison, "I would do whatever it took to vote."

You just go vote. That's all it takes. You can't simply propose a restriction and say, "I would do that, what's the problem?" It makes you a problem of Tyranny.
