Oh, extacie,

You`re at the point where you ask what high I want. Mostly clear is gonna be a quick, energy, munchy high. Mostly amber`ish and you`ll be on the couch all day. Half and half get`s you both worlds.

That`s a general rule of thumb for outdoor weed.

Your like, one of those that has to look at the gauge to see how much gas you have in the car....

...... when what`s left of it stones me out good,...what does that tell ya about before I heated it ? Right off the plant into the bowl, heated, is no different a high than if I let it taste good Charlie.
Its cool, you don't have to explain anything else to me. I remember my first beer....

Do you all think shel add anymore weight or at this point is it just the thrichs changing?
That is my main concern.

Oh and mhog, is there no point in flushing even if using salt based nutes? Same concept?

If she`s not growing anymore and you`re waiting for quality with that road crew knowing,......you`re past the point of fail and if they get them well....

I think it`s best to trim the plant green and leave the new growth on.

Salt build up will cause nutrient lock out. That is why its recommended to flush with water every now and then during flower. Is your plant showing signs on nutrient lock out( any kind of deficiencies) if not and you plan on chopping then no worries..(if a road crew has spotted your ladies, you should have knife in hand and be on your way to chopping as we speak)

Harvesting early gives an uplifting high, and waiting too long provides a couch lock.
The perfect time to harvest would depend on what you are after.

I snip off a smaller bud, and let it sit on my window sill for a day to test it.

What you need to be asking yourself right now is, whats more important, gaining a few extra grams and amber trichs, or waking up to your plant gone because its been spotted.
This time of the year, Marijuana plants are like recon missions, first rule to recon- once your cover has been blown, the mission is over.

Lol thanks brother I appreciate it! I went ahead and cut down the ones that were ready. I have quite a few more that really need at least 2-3 more weeks. Some are large.

I don't know if they saw them or not, but they def were looking. They are about 100-150 feet away from the road, so it would be hard to make out what they are for sure and I have odor control products that have taken care of the smell. There are 4 large bushes in front of them that block majority of view from the road, so if they saw any it would of just been a glimpse. I also have them in a chicken wire fence with a roof and locking door to be compliant with our crazy laws. (Which I know is not hard to cut through)

Then I also sleep in my living room with my dog right by the windows with them open that are only about 50 feet from the plants.

I have a lot invested in two of them that are in that stage now of packing on serious weight. What do you think about them? (In a legal state by the way)

I am thinking about just sleeping out in a tent with my dog & my machete just to make sure all goes well.

What do you all think?

They look great! Great job! And you are correct, they could use a 12-14 days. If you plan on leaving them, I'd be going to the extreme to make sure your ladies dont get ripped. I'd stake ankle high trip wire in a few spots that you'd think someone would enter your yard from. Hang bells from the wire. Have you ever stepped on a rake that was left wrong side up and have the handle come up and smack you in the face? Lol if not, you know where im going with this. String a cow bell to the end. When it comes to punks looking for a quick buck or smoke that they disnt put any time into. Think about the worth of your plants. A zip of good bud goes for $250-300 where I live. From the pics, you look like you sitting with 5-8 zips. That's $1250-2000... get yourself a motion detector that not only lights up your yard but turns something on like a radio or a fake dog barking.. hate to say it because i know you've already spent a good amount of coin thus far but I'd spend the extra money for piece of mind. Plus you can use it next year. Set up things that make lots of noise. Empty coffee cans filled with pennies placed around the yard. Someone accidentally kicks one of those is going to make a shit ton of noise. Dont just use any trip wire, get 10lb test fishing line. Something that wont snap under small amounts of pressure. Holloween is right around the corner, hit a spirit costume shop and get a couple motion detected decorations that are ment to scare people when triggered... Hope this helps. Remember, once a lazy punk knows where to find grass near harvest, they'll never forget. And if they do rip you. They will visit you every year... Sorry about the rant. Growing isn't a hobby to me, its a lifestyle/art/way to release and lose yourself in the beauty of nature.

Also. Someone who knows what this beautiful plant looks like doesnt need to see the whole thing to know what it is. Just one big ass cola swaying in the wind and the wheels are turning. Drugs alone, not to mention "free drugs" at that make people do stupid things. And I hate to stereotype, so please, if someone is reading this and is the construction/road working business, I'm not trying to take away from the hard work and long hours these jobs require. These jobs pay well and are very admirable. Before I went to BUDs, I used to lay concrete on a commercial level going through 50-100 trucks laying floors for Walmart and other huge companies. And once you start laying, you're there until the floor/job is finished.. 24-35 hrs at a time. But what im getting at is, a lot of guys I worked with had long records and not a whole lot to lose as their record spoke for them. Again, not trying to down play anyone, or any job. We all have our own struggles in life and I'm not trying to judge anybody. So with that said, be careful. One person might walk away from this but a couple guys with the wrong attitudes and outlook on life might not care about repercussions when thinking about a "free" $2000 to add to their paycheck...

Shaman & I am not sure, I did not write it down.. Was busy at the time & just threw it outside. Wish I would of though.

Naw you dont sound like a dick I actually appreciate you weighing in and sharing your opinion. I've read that argued a lot within the past month.. Only reason I figured I would need to flush is because I used salt based nutes and fed fairly heavily (Not to the point of nute burn)
Still think I don't need to?
I would like to cut them down now because they are doing construction work on my road and they can see right over the fence :( I watched them with binoculars and the dudes were starring pretty hardcore. One guy was on a shorter machine and he stood up when driving by just to look over the fence. Jack ass. Maybe they are just curious idk but it makes me paranoid lol.

Thank you! Smells like fruity pebbles on the plant so I hope so anyways!

Hell ya, let me know how they turn out bongsmilie
We had one night where it got down to 41 and it actually made my plants start to grow faster the next couple weeks and they started to turn purple then so I was actually hoping for a couple more cold nights lol. It stays a little bit warmer here, I talked to a friend who has grown here outdoors a couple years and he said that generally in ground plants can make it here til halloween. I hope he's right because two of my in ground ones won't be done til at the earliest the 15th and really probably more towards the end of the month. I am most concerned about mold & rippers. Especially with these damn road work crew driving by all the time where they can see over the fence!

You think even if fed salt based nutes still same concept? (Fox farm nutrient line)
Also I inspected it closely today and saw a couple white hairs here and there just now starting to turn brown.
That would indicate not quite finished just yet, right?

Thanks, I like that advice! I may try that! I picked one bud off a plant a while ago and trimmed it then let it dry with room temp/humidity. So sort of a quick dry. Turned out great! (A different plant)

On a side note:
We are getting a little rain. If we get some later in the evening should I shake it off then spray greencure fungicide? Or too late for that plant and it would effect taste/final outcome?
I was going to wash off with a hydrogen peroxide solution the day before cutting.
I know this get's argued alot, but it never hurts to run a few gallongs through your soiless medium. Plants can burn in all mediums, so if they can burn than they are obviously able to extract more nutrients than needed out of the roots/medium. A flush is never a bad idea, there is a reason some weed burns your lips when joint smoked, and/or the ash is black and it won't stay lit. Sorry to those who disagree, but any veteran can tell you that with salt based nutes and hydro nutes in soiless and soil grows for that matter, a flush is vital to a smooth taste and burn. Always rid the plant of excess nutrients.

The flush is for more than just nute Lockout, Marijuana plants/ buds do retain the nutrients they were fed it's common knowledge among weed growers Just my 2 cents and according to articles I've read Ed Rosenthal,Brown Dirt Warrior and Jorge Cerventez all agree. Also I see a good pound there for sure if you leave them a couple more weeks.

Soiless and hydro is a different playing field because they lack the work of microbes that soil provides.
The plant showing nute burn isn't the plant using more than it should, its the roots getting shocked and their function slowly gets put to a hault. Its then the lack of nutes being uptaked along with the shock which cause necrosis. Thats why it dies/shows its problem from the tips working its way in. In organic chemistry, anything you add to the microbiology of the living system under the soil is broken down to its basic chemical form and used accordingly. I'm not trying to argue the theory of flushing, I'm only providing facts from science that have been proven by horticulture and botanist. Take urine for instance. Fresh urine that is diluted is an excellent source of nitrogen. With that said, using your theory, would I be flushing to rid my buds of urine? No, because its not urine making its way up the stalk to be used. Soil is a living ecosystem that has millions of microbes that break everything down to it's absolute basic chemical form in nature before being used. Many factors can influence a way bud burns or stays lit. Take breaking up some nice sticky bud by hand and rolling it and comparing to grinding or using scissors. That alone can make or break a rolled J.

Not this matters but I have bsn in science with a major in nursing and a minor in Chemistry.
In balanced soil, plants grow in an active and steady environment. The mineral content of the soil and its structure are important for their well-being, but Without the activities of soil organisms, organic materials would accumulate and litter the soil surface, and there would be no food for plants. So once you "unbalance " your system. Your plant stops taking up nutes.

Thank you, I really appreciate those ideas!! I have some motion alarms up on two sides of the "cage" maybe i should get two more. Then I also have a trip wire going around the perimeter of the "cage" with bells attached to it. I like the coffee can idea for sure. I have a chicken wire cage around them with a chicken wire roof in order to be compliant with our states laws.. Maybe i'll put some cans with coins attached to that. If they try cutting down a side of the fence that should make noise I would think.
I also like the idea of random trip wires in different areas to. And love the rake idea. I will def. be referring back to this tomorrow when setting everything up! I have two plants that size and some smaller ones out there right now too. Altogether probably at least 2P's sitting there now and will be like 3-4 come harvest time if I can hold out that long. Which hopefully I can.

What do you think about camping in a tent with my dog inside of the "cage" with my plants? Surely one of us would here if an intruder tried trespassing..
