Gas BELOW $3 Gallon..

Oil prices below $80 will cripple the Texas and North Dakota oil economies. Most of the smaller oil companies cannot do business at less than $95 per barrel.

Low Oil prices have a 2 prong effect, They harm Russia's purse and they make the US economy look better right before an election.

The US energy department has released 12 million barrels from the strategic reserve since last year, this also helps soften prices.
Also the fact all the fracked fuels cannot be exported yet, except one kind that was already reclassified.

As soon as they can export the oil abroad unrefined for a larger profit, they will.

I agree, US sanctions aren't really hurting Russia that much, but USA is trying desperately to stir the hornets nest. I read that SWIFT sanctions aren't going to go through now, the EU doesn't want the blowback, another thorn in Obama's side.

We should really just go back to the Technology that Nikola Tesla created over 100 years ago. Free wireless power for your home and car transmitted by towers from any distance. Powered by the Earths magnetic field. Then we wouldn't even have to have this debate. Free power would release humanity from the drudgery of life, from the toil of labor.

It's October...prices usually bottom out during this period (at least for the last 5+ years). Ideally, if you have a large storage tank for fuel, now would be a good time to start filling it.
Then sell it to your locals for a premium later ;)

Just make sure it doesn't have any ethanol in it, ethanol blended fuel only has a shelf life of about 30-45 days under normal conditions. This is due to water separation in the fuel.

Pure unleaded with no ethanol in it will last for years.

Yah, ethanol is hydrophilic.
You could technically decant it (I believe), but that kills any premium one might get.

Just wait for it to separate, then take the top off.
Interestingly, no chemical compound exists that can prevent this from happening.

Oh, right. I forgot, there is a small list, and not everyone on it is famous. :)

what?
Free?
transmitted by towers from any distance?

If that was possible back then, why don't you do it now? You could be famous, rich, faster horses, younger women, better whiskey.

But, let us turn to boredom. Life with no toil, and no rewards for that, is boring. Teenagers tend to burn things down, etc.

And the notion is very real. The futurists, especially in Japan already see that we need to come up with a solution to the horror of nothing to do and nothing to strive for. They see a world that can support 2/3 of the populations by the good works of 1/3. It is sort of Star Trek thinking, alas.

In Japan they are thinking only about 1/2 the population is needed to maintain the standard of living for ALL, in the age of Informed Robots.

What does the other half do with themselves, all day? Idle minds and the works of demons.

A life of leisure, without giant piles of money to throw around, is a cage from which you watch the HAVES, the ones with something to do, and the travel perks, etc.

It is against our genetics to do anything but toil.. It is against our nature to support the worthless.
