The head of the Sergeants Police Union in NYC said the mayor of NYC "has blood on his hands" in regards to the tragic assassination of two police officers this weekend in Brooklyn. This follows the call for the Mayor to be barred from attending any police officer's funeral by the head of the PBA (he made this comment 4 days before the 1st cop killing in 10 years in NYC) Good timing in my opinion, to make such a fucking stupid statement.
What's up with that, the cops in NYC don't like a Mayor who stands up to police bullshit, like "stop and search"
Cop' s get away with a lot of shit, AND combine that with angry black men, you will see "wrongful death by fucking homicide" a lot in future years. You know why? No good schools, no good jobs, no good MENTAL HEALTH facilities left in a country that has the highest homicide rate in the world. Nothing for a black American in the US, in the beginning of the 21st century in the USA, has a lot to look forward to.
Point being, desperation and loss of any hope for a MAJORITY of black Americans will be a little bit of a problem for this democratic, capitalistic society which had everything to do to create this environment.
The grand children and great grandchildren of the slaves ain't on the farm anymore, and now, they are being joined by all the other "DOWNTRODDEN" in the US, and the world like wallst/tienenmansquare/umbrella/plo/ppk/ira/fuckingetc
Who do I blame,?
Fucking Republicans that cut every socialaid/headstart/Medicaid program available to the least in our society.
Everyone should go to a Project in a metro area, to be REMINDED of a situation that this fucking country created. Just think about it. You know what creates crime? Desperation and isolation.
God bless those 2 fallen officers.

A little biased, a little pissed off and a little too much demon rum (sorry for the rant))
I looked for bias in your post above and I found it; it's tooo real and close to home. You're not supposed to speak truth to power, lest they feel the obligation to do something unprofitable.

lol, good tie in, now I'm going to have to dig that movie out from my Scorsese collection and watch it, again.
yeah DDL is most awesome actor..he's on of those that no matter what he's in..you know it's gonna be good. another is kevin spacey.

even liam neeson with his small role, gets to done a real brogue.

good movie..definitely says "merry christmas".

I've always thought they needed to open an acting hall of fame.

A game the wife and I play, is hall of fame or not.

Daniel Day Lewis- in
David Spade- out
Kevin Spacey- close. Hall of very good.

DDL is one of the best. I do love Di Nero/Pacino/Di Crapperio(spelled wrong) also. It's too bad there aren't any good female actors any more. Bette Davis and Meryl Streep being the only ones worth anything in the last 50 years (Bacall maybe)

Kevin Spacey in " American Beauty" was a work of art. Every movie he was ever in was blessed by his appearance (LA Confidential/ good herb)
Usual Suspects? The guy is a GOD!

Pretty damn good in house of cards
I get it. But everyone keeps using the word good. Or the phrase "pretty good. "

I thinks he's pretty good too. I don't think he's a badass. One of my favorite movies of his was "Father of Invention", and he was fantastic in it. Still though, he's on the edge in my eyes.

He may come out with a movie before he dies that, to me, vaults him over the top. That's the great part about the game. They always get revisited and there is no time limit. Each actor/actress has until they die to make their case.

Jennifer Lawrence got an Oscar for Silver Linings. That movie wasn't all that great.
K Spa is a much better actor than J Law.

Oscars are more about a good role in a good movie. Quick, name an oscar from a bad movie!

Spacey is one of the best in my book. I think Edward Norton, Phillip Seymore Hoffman, Amy Adams, Leo DiCaprio, Don Cheadle and believe it or not Brad Pitt are in that group. Johnny Depp deserves his own category, I can't tell if he's really good or just really strange.

Daniel Day Lewis is in a league of his own, nobody alive compares.

J Law surprised me in American Hustle. She's better than I thought.

Now if it's about entertainment, if Marky Mark is in it, I'm going to watch it. Same with Denzel Washington, he doesn't make bad movies. Denzel may deserve to be in the top top group too.

Jeff Bridges is one of those guys that can do anything but never gets recognition.

Jack Nicholson is one of my all-time favorites.

I was prepared to hate Leonardo DiCaprio given his boy actor credentials, but I have to eat my words, he is excellent. Not in Nicholson's league but top notch.

Jeff Bridges is excellent as well.

I know everybody raves about Meryl Streep but I find her dull and boring.

Some actors, such as these three, have a bit of magic about them. You just like to watch them. No homo.

I agree about the other actors mentioned. I particularly like Don Cheadle, for example.

DiCaprio is amazing. He really started showing his chops when he was really young, in The Basketball Diaries. He gets in too. Did an amazing job as Howard Hughes as well.

Edit: I keep neglecting Jeff Bridges. He's in. The Dude can go anywhere he wants.

I had DiCaprio in the overrated category for a long time. What did it for me was the departed.

Ok, just list the actors in the departed and you have a pretty good list. I give marky mark hell, but he stole every scene he was in. "I'm the guy that does my job, you must be the other guy". My favorite line from the movie.

I may have to turn in my man card, but Justin Timberlake is starting to win me over too, you just can't make me listen to his music.
