What's Super Skunk like?

It just erks me they use the name to sell the strain
I don't think they're slapping skunk on any seeds they find. I think that they have lost all the good parents and a
Some say Sensi or Dutchman but some say Kentucky originated
the Skunk.
I lean towards the latter big time cause back in the day from what I remember in LA
that gets all the real and good stuff never had any strains imported from Europe.
In LA we got stuff from Laos, Thailand, Hawaii, Maui, Kona, Columbia, Mexico, Wohacca ,
Panama, Fallbrook, etc...but never a single strain from Europe so I still believe Skunk came from
Kentucky where growing pot has been more then plentiful for many decades.
I say Sensi and Dutchman Skunk was merely a knock off and not true Skunk.
Skunk was very very plentiful and so easily obtainable that it had to be grown local
no way around it imo.
Of course man, Sam the skunkman brought skunk overseas from the us in the 80s. Lemon skunk came out of Las Vegas, Bubblegum is from indiana, theres cali o from cali as well. all examples of skunk that originate in the US

I started getting pure skunk in the late 70's from the Ozark mts in Arkansas. There were areas in the mountains that carried the skunk smell for miles.

The best "new" skunk I have had came from AMS of all places. Their super skunk was super stable.

Fun thread we have going here. So I just finished some Super Skunk. It should be called Super Fruit instead. My Dad smelled it. he hasn't smelled pot in 20 years and he gave me a look like I wasn't doing it right. He didn't want to be too harsh, but he basically said that my weed doesn't really smell like weed :)

This was an awful grow for me, but in the end I finished them and they are frosty.

alright then who has the roadkill smelling skunk? ive run several strains including greenhouse and flying, sensi, seedsman, and nirvanas none smell like the shit i got in the early 90,s...actually green house even says its skunk is sweet smelling,,but i think all originated from sam the skunkmans genetics... were is the roadkill strain????
-Unfortunately most of the skunks available now-days are "sweet" smelling instead of that beloved "road-kill" smell. I have smoked this myself in the 1980's, but it has remained obscure since. Who wouldn't love to get their hands on that "Road-Kill" Skunk. :leaf:

I stay away from so called "skunk" strains because it's all fruity dutch crap.

I mentioned in another thread about road skill skunk that I've smoked a pheno of white widow that smelled exactly like RKS and had a very strong head high, that was in '07. I could not cover up that smell, it leached through everything and would follow you around well after you touched it.

Awesome smoke but a huge security risk back before legalization and a reason some people cull RKS phenos. I'd grow it but I'd burn through too much time and money searching for that one special pheno.

I had dutch passion's skunk #1 in 2002 and it was a good representation of skunk. And the smell was straight skunk, I don't know how many times I heard people say, "What the fuck? It smells like a dead skunk!', after I walked in the room with a bud in a baggie in my pocket. It had a skunky flavor too. Nothing like the fruity skunk #1s that I was hoping for.

That being said, I also order DP's blueberry based on how good the skunk was, and again I got super great representations of how blueberry should be. Super potent, blueberry jam flavor and red/blue/violet hues to the dense heavy yielding buds.

Last few times I've try DP since 2006, all have been garbage. 2 packs of blueberry and 1 of fraisan dew.
The original killer blueberry strain came from DJ Short?
Alone or mixed with strains such as Blue Dream it is the
shit!

Ok.... so how many of you actually smoked skunk and super skunk decades ago and the skunk #1 from sensi?

You don't have to keep plants alive of old classic stable IBLs to reproduce them.... doh... they aren't clone only strains lol

Bitching about sensi seeds while it's where many, if not most, pollenchucks and modern hybrids are based on lol...

It's downright ungrateful.

As I mentioned in another thread, Amsterdam announced they will investigate seed shops as well. Grow shops are closing, nutrient and lighting and even some carbon filter manufacturers stopped distribution in the Netherlands this week because of a new law which well, is fucked up. My local favorite grow shop doesn't even sell my nutes anymore... can't order the new hps I want...

It will become much harder for both growers and breeders here. Stacking up seeds from sensi/flying dutchmen and mrnice now may soon turn out to be a very good idea, it will give you closest to the genepool most popular hybrids are based on one can currently get.

Although sure, the entire seed industry is messed up and has an let's say interesting history, and you can't trust anyone, relatively Ben Dronkers and sensi seeds is really the wrong tree to bark up on when it comes to original genetics and retaining them over a longer period.

Unless of course you prefer Dutch IBLs/hybrids x bag seeds x pollen chuck x forum cut.... I won't name strains, you can figure it out, and don't want to freak out everyone lol.

Get the Skunk #1, Super Skunk, fuck, nearly the whole collection, some of the flying dutchmen strains, widow and ssh from mr nice, cross those together or with a popular cut, and you can save yourself the money of paying others of doing just that.

Actually, some, including Dutch Passion, already limited sales to 5 seeds per person max now.

Notice doesn't seem to be on English version, consider yourselves lucky... or warned.

Currently 30% off all seeds at sensi, 30 years old..., offer runs from 1-7 March ie. ends tomorrow.
SO THATS WHY THE sensi white widdows wouldnt pop,30 yrs old!! i have a bunch of sensi, super skunk feminized and skunk#1 reg's, but they dont smell like skunk, sorry but ive had the road kill smell from seeds i bought in the late 90's from them, but all the recent seeds i bought are not what i expected..green house skunk sweet, flying dutch skunk sweet smell all of the new skunks and super skunks are sweet..i must say though my sensi skunk#1 is very good, crystals, finishes quick, but still sweet but its still a keeper..i also have a pack of shiva skunk fems, but havnt popped em yet..i cant buy anymore seeds right now,, i have too many to ever grow already, pluss i do my owne crosses..probably 1,000 seeds i made, with a couple that have turned out so well after back crossing they are just as good as store bought or better..just crossing nl#5 with a few strains now..
