i actually did a comparison on this 10+ years ago in a 4x4 ebb n flow room, eveything the same nutes lights, cuttings etc. only dif was 1 cycle had a radio playing soft clasicle music(piano), 1 room silent, 1 room played hate rap..conclusions,
room 1 w/clasical music yielded most,
room 2 silent,,except wen i talked to them.lol, yielded 54 grams less than room 1
room 3 hate rap yielded least over 125 grams less than room 1
i dont know if its difinitive proof, but i tried it a few times each time the room w clas music always yielded most..
now, 15 years later,i still keep a radio playing soft old piano music in my rooms, i cant stand it personally i like rock, but my plants seem happy w it, i also talk to my plants regularly and have let them know i prefer rock, but they yielded more in 2 cycles above rock also, so i play what they like...has anyone else had results like this? i truly believe my plants are happiest wen i talk to them, but i cant spend all my day talking so the radio plays non stop,,softly..

It isn't the talking that they like so much (they do know your voice and are happy to hear you) as the CO2 you are giving them. Music has a different effect as Chem stated. I would suggest Phish, Twiddle, or the Grateful Dead also for your plants. Hucking Fippie plants! :)

do u believe the plants respond to music? i didnt until i did the tests, if the yields had been close to the same, i wouldnt have kept doing it, but because i got better yields w/ the music than w/out i kept it going, the biggest surprise to me was the very low yield w/ the hate rap,,they truly do not like eazy, how do they respond to hate? dont make sence but they yielded poorly w/ that music...

For sure they respond to music. Rap isn't really music, not when compared to classical, or even The Dead. I would assume it is the lack of melody that the plants didn't respond to. Bass isn't going to give them peace.

I like to listen to dance music, often with alot of bass, while working in the garden. It can be aggressive and intense at times, but there is heaps of melody:confused:

Someone should give us a grant to figure out exactly what they like about it.

My plants jam with me.

Don't get me wrong, a little Disco Biscuits or SCI is common in my GR. EDM certainly has more melody than gangster rap.

Frankly, I think mine is a bitter bitch hell bent on getting back at me for accidentally snapping a stem (or three).

Now she's all like 'Fuck you, you newbie grower wannabe. Ima teach you a lesson and 1) stretch like a mofo, 2) grow random nodes at whatever distribution I want 3) and throw in some bizarre looking fan leaves just to fuck with you'

That's how my one, lonely Cannatoic plant feels about me.

That info may have already been sold off to the makers of the Biowave.
Everybody knows plants rock to sub-harmonic waves.
