Plant is still not showing sex after 3 weeks of flower (8 weeks total)

This is not my first grow, but it's my first time experiencing this problem.

I am doing a small scale grow, 1 plant (sour diesel) under 6 x 25w 2700k cfl bulbs.

I vegged the plant for 5 weeks and then flipped the switch to 12/12.

The plant has now been in flowering for 21 days and still is not showing pistils or even pre-flowers.

A light leak is not the problem so im wondering what else could be causing such a delay??

If there are no pistils, i assume only 2 things. 1 which would be the better news in that you have a possible light leak. 2nd...well its possibly a male.

I may get chastised for saying this but its just what ive noticed. My plants seem to show buds faster when i moved up in light power. When i ran a couple sixhundreds vs a couple 1000s. The 1000s seem to make em kick out buds super fast. Just what ive seen, 21 days from flip im almost half way there. Could be the potential energy released from the bigger bulbs is greater than the smaller ones causing the plant to grow and show faster. Food for thought.

how does this prove male? My males are usually noticable before females or the same day.

He said no pistils. He didnt say anything else. My assumptions are based on the fact there are no pictures. Only other though is he loading them with to much P and K Early on.

and in reality your whole theory here makes no sense. That is unless you are using a 1000 in the same exact space you used your 600. Which then you should obviously notice a difference in bud development in size. Not in timeliness.

Could it mean he has a leak and he believes its not a problem?
How log does it take on auto flower strains to start flower?
Since it's their genetics i believe even if u have them on 12/12 they would not start flower before their genetics kick in.

P.S. I too high !!!

Nope different spaces, seems like the thousands even push the plants to finish faster even. Idk? Maybe its the new ac or something. Just what ive seen.

Can you get a closer pic of the node so we can see where it will show its sex? Also, where is the seed from? Is it supposed to be feminized?
