Thanks. These pics are of trichs that are on lower level/lesser developed buds (compared to the main cola and the other bigger buds in the middle/top). She's an auto that's only 6 weeks since popping from the soil. Those pics were of a popcorn bud that I heated and smoked. Very heady good feeling stone. I was quite surprised. I'm actually having a calmag def that I haven't been able to rectify and it's getting a tad bit worse. I was wondering if the def got really bad and I was forced to chop if the bud would be potent at all. Thanks for your input. Here is a pic of my def. the pictures make it look much better than I see it lol.

How many sets of plants do you have going?

I can't really say by these pics, but are you looking for harvest time?

I could be putting my foot in my mouth, but if these are your autos, they are younger than mine, which are 60 days yesterday. I've got a couple weeks left for sure.

Edit: Just saw ur second set of pics. They look good. Imo it won't live long enough to let anything but mold screw up your yield.

Swim,

Thanks for the input. I'm not looking for harvest time in particular. I know it would be best to let them go 8-10 wks (My hijack auto is starting week 6 on Tuesday). I'm just worried about this def. A dude wrote on another one of my posts that I need to correct it before it ruins my harvest and he attached these awful pictures of his girl that looked like she had measles. It's been about a week and the symptoms seem to be getting worse. Long story longer, but I was wanting to know:

if I had to chop these today would it be a total loss or could I get good smoke out of it?

What did you mean when you said "it won't live long enough..."?
Like, my ignorance will kill them?LOL
Or like, they'll be ready to chop before anything major would end up happening anyways?

Look around your plant(s) and see if there is any amber. You want to see some amber first. Right now you may be on the up to the window peak. From what I seek youre lookig at another week to two. Thats where I made my first mistake to harvesting. I had no amber. Still got nice and high and it provided physical assistance and creative thinking. But I took her down two weeks early. The amber started appearing afterwards. So as soon as you see amber at about 20% amber to 80% milky or cloudy, then take them down. Impatience will eat you alive. Clear your mind of this desease we call impatience...lol And focus thou O grower... :)

Lol sorry dude! I meant that I'll bet she's ready for harvest before the harvest is effected by what I see in your pics. I'm a newb but you're doing a good job imo!

Those are nice zoomed pics btw, with the wealth of knowledge from the guys here, you should be able to harvest very close to your desired time.

Is it bad that I cut off that popcorn bud, honestly? This is my first grow so I'm not trying to be facetious. Def don't want to do anything that is going to mess with yield or overall growth. And it's not really impatience, but it's definitely coddling the fuck out of this plant :-?. And having brought them along for 6 weeks and getting closer to harvest....wait a minute.... This sounds a lot like impatience

It can't be beneficial, but I notice almost every newbie has a "branch break" some time into flower lol.

No man your good. Just coast and lay off nutes in the last two weeks. Every grower alive and dead done did some good testing...lol I know i did there was just no need to air it out. Besides, i saw the heat that the others took for being a lil ingnorant...lol But youre good though. Quite a bit of nute usage in these critical stages becareful...

Thanks? Should I not be using much nutes in last 2-3 wks?

One more thing. My autos have been on 24/0 light reg from seed. Would my auto finish much sooner than someone who was on a lesser light regiment?

Your AUTOS will peak on their own time. No matter light schedule , the 8-9 week harvest time given by breeders are just a guide. Check your triches regularly. Some strains don't even go amber. I usually find day 70 gets to where I like them ( your mileage may vary ).

Cut all nutes during last 2 weeks. Water only . ( flush or not flush your choice )

Flushing or not flushing opens up a whole bunch of drama between growers.
I flush.

Hey dude, while we have your attention lol, does every strain yellow when getting close to harvest? Or do some stay nice and green up until?

Thanks for the help budz. If you don't see this I'll make a thread. No worries :)

I haven't grown every strain but the ones I have grown , the leaves WILL color change on their own as it approaches it's final stages. I made the mistake as a new grower before thinking it was deficient. Once I noticed that the plants continually did this , I used as a marker to judge triches ( looking at whether they are getting close ) . Some of my PURPLE POWER made really crazy colors on the leaf but that is from its genetics.

Some can finish at 63 or 73 days. You can push plant a little bit longer from recommended breeder time but it's life stage is set in stone. Sometimes if you look at breeder suggestions on that particular strain ( it usually gives a window of 5-7 days anyways ) so I shoot for the last day + 2. Those last 2 days are done full darkness so I can chop (anytime during their dark period )

Lowering the humidity in the room on that last night before harvest morning will ensure increased resin production, without having to let the medium go bone-dry first. Additionally, some growers like to subject their gardens to prolonged dark periods of up to 24 hours to 48 hours just before cutting, claiming they notice spikes in resin production. This is all right as the low humidity will cut down on light uptake anyway, plus it helps to make sure liquid foods within the plants drain down to the root zone.

When the big day arrives it is best to start early, BEFORE the light period begins in the growroom. This is why I keep in dark so I can pull them anytime during day. If the grow lamps turn on, it’s okay to cut them completely and work by standard room lighting.

Enjoy bongsmilie
