By prototype on the 4...does that mean the real one will be complete and professional. Or does prototype just mean first one you ever built...and plan to build more like it.

Here an update on the 120/200watt optic vero 18/29 , heavenbright Model V6 186watt grow. 2 SnakeVenoms-2LemonOg-2 WhiteAlien-1 WhiteWidow. 5gallon root pouches- 50/50 mix Coco/Perlite Added 5ml progrow,5mlcalmag,5mlLiquidKarma- ph'd 5.8 to set the cations and set the rooters in a nice dusting of Zho! Gonna veg em and spreadem open over the next 4 weeks and then blow em up with the Optics/HeavenBright. Thanks for stopping in! Should be a interesting next couple months around here??

Again, thank you for asking great questions! But please don't burn me after I respond, I'd like to think we'd get along better in real life - despite our past confrontations.

The first few prototypes were early Model-V6 fixtures, which I used to grow tomatoes and peppers with for over four months. I later transplanted them to my mother's farm, so she could pick fresh fruits and veggies. I even had my younger brothers help me dig a few holes and water em' when it got dry out..

Looking back, I'm kicking myself in the teeth for not thinking ahead and recording the grow, although I did a piss-poor job at caring for the plants so maybe it was a good thing that I didn't take any photos/videos. At the time, my head wasn't in the game for growing and was instead too focused on school, perfecting the design for the Model-V, and juggling a long-distance relationship that ended in the most unpleasant of fashions.

During the tomato and pepper grow, I was using x2 of each 3000K, 3500K, and 4000K. I haven't used the 2700K or 5000K in an actual grow but will be using the 5000K in a new grow starting tomorrow; I'm picking up the top soil later today and will be using the final prototype that I shared in the sneak peak video. You can most certainly expect me to share photos and quite possibly videos of that grow.

The photo that's currently up on the Shop for the Model-V4 was the final prototype, with the final product being slightly more organized and complete.

I don't have any questions for you at this time regarding your CX300, but am truly delighted that you and I are doing what we are doing, because I wouldn't want it any other way.

I agree! I believe only time will tell being that its new to the production lines. With the warranty it shouldn't be to big of deal.The other should work until servicing. The 200 doesn't get as hot as I would have thought but I have good intake/outtake so that probly helps a lot!

I have a 22x28x72 grow space with a 180cfm exhaust fan (and an inside circulating fan), and my Optic Vero 120 raised the grow space temp 1 to 2 degrees above ambient temp of the outer room (to be clear, intake and exhaust come and go from the outer room). I don't have a lot to reference, but compared to other things I've tried it produces very little heat, its quite awesome in that respect.

Mine arrived with the box damaged. I took a picture of the mail delivery person holding the heavily dented box, just in case there were serious issues. Some of the internal parts had dislodged in transit. Optic support was efficient and effective enough that through some rapid back and forth emailing, I was able to gather the information I needed to reset everything properly and the light functions as it should. No complaints so far.

I would add my own grow results, but I am a firm believer in throwing everything I have at any given challenge, so I am running another light along side my Optic during flower -- so I don't have an "Optic only" test situation. (as a side note, with both lights going the temp is 5-6 degrees above ambient, so during the heat wave we are entering I'll probably be going back to just the Optic for about 10 days... not sure how fluctuating the amount of light the plant is receiving will effect it, but heat is going to be a serious issue, so I'll do what I have to do.)

Awesome man! yeah Ive found that with good intake/exhaust ? makes things a lot easier to control. Optics customer service is excellent! Email back in 24hrs and if it cant wait?Theres always someone there to talk with durin business hrs. The 120/200 watt optic and the heavenbright V6 will be next to each other! I would be curious what their recommendations are. My light came without any paperwork of any kind, no invoice, no instructions, nothing. The first grow light I bought, a Mars Hydro LED (hold back the hate, please), also came with no paperwork or instructions, so perhaps that is the current industry standard.

At least, for instance, Area51 gives some reference points on their website for suggested distances for veg and flower. The only number that shows up with the Optic 120 (that I've been able to find) is in their online specs, all of the measurements are taken at 16"... which implies that is a good place to start. From there, as far as I can tell we're on our own.

Couple tweeks and she is keeper? we shall see? At least now I have the 120 and the 200 vero! I believe Pepes can do the same thing with the 120 as the 200 because the chips are to close on the 200! There the same case. They seem very simple but productive! I havnt seen any better penetration?

The plant I have under mine has been topped twice, but it is not scrog'd or LST'd, and it is a few inches taller in the center, sort of a short wide xmas tree shape at this point. From all that I had read, I was guessing that the sweet spot was about 12-16", so in order to get the majority of the plant's foliage in that zone, the top of mine is currently under 12" from the light (the lights run at night so I can't check right now, but from memory I'd say 8-10"). I have not seen any signs of bleaching (or burning?) on the top leaves, so I'll keep it this way as long as the plant stays happy... unless there is some other reason to raise it?
