A small bud every 10-12in? I have done some good research on Mars hydro leds. I mean....go watch the videos on YouTube and check out the Mars hydro grow thread. They are the best cheap leds. The one I'm ordering has 8 bands led and consumes 140w.
I can't run a system like yours and I have a 300$ budget, so I have to make due with what I have.

Very understandable. I was actually really close to getting an led myself. I only encourage people to get what they need for their grow. I just got lucky with extra funds so I decided to invest now. Good luck and I'll definitely be checking in.

I will show you goons that my half thought plans will get me a nice yield of some dank shit. Not like anyone cares, but I think I'm just going to wait until I get a harvest before posting shit on rollitup.

I'm actually gonna do the same thing, post my results instead of my trials and tribulations along the way. I just read, read, and read some more to keep learning so I can have informed conversations with the big boys in the near future and learn even more.

Yeah I get a little moody when people are telling me I can't grow a damn aplphala sprout with my setup. I will post more pics/info in another couple weeks. Thank you for being a little supportive and informed.

Understand... the reason everyone just gives you snotty shut-downs.... is because we see the same new grower problems, over and over, and every single one thinks THEY are gonna be that special ONE person who defies the odds, cheats physics, and makes the dankiest stankiest nugs, even tho they half assed it the whole way...

Cuz its them.... and they are special.

We dont TRY to be assholes, we just don't sugar coat things, cuz when we do, people think we aren't serious....

Garbage in... garbage out.... its not that hard. These are your babies, and you are their parent, and their God.... You control every aspect of their lives...

Even a 2' T5HO setup would give you better vegetative growth..... healthier growth....

Everyone is always so excited that plants CAN be grown under inadequate light, they never stop to think if they SHOULD be.

Those bulbs cant even penetrate one layer of leaf..... every leaf that is shaded by a higher leaf, isn't performing properly... they simply lack the intensity needed...

Your plants are not 'growing'..... they are 'surviving'.

Listen to our bitching, and try to remember, we bitch cuz we want to see you succeed, not because we want to belittle you in some way. We come off as dicks, because we tend to get upset when we see plants in distress.... its like posting a pic of underfed dogs in tiny cages covered in filth.... someone is gonna be like "WTF, That is not good enough!" while the owner is saying "Look man I just got it home, I'm working on it" we want to understand, we want to help... but we still respond with "if you didnt have a home ready why the fuck did you pick it up!?"

just take a few puffs, crack your neck n back a bit, and let our information absorb, and our attitude roll off your back....

As long as you got your cfl's surrounding the plant as best as possible keeping them an inch or so from any contact with the plant, it'll keep em nice and healthy during veg, I used 6, 23 watt Noma bulbs from Canadian Tire and it kept 12 veggin healthy in little 4 inch pots, while you are at the Tire grab a windshield reflector to replace the foil, foil can concentrate light and burn the lil guys, the texture of the reflector will help that. The inside of my box is white poly, or panda film I think I've seen people call it, it's just white on one side, black on the other, I use that shit everywhere. What you got going is working fine, put a CD case or two under them to get them right up next to the light

remember if the intensity of like isnt strong enough you can get it to flower even under 24 hgr light

I'm trying to grow 2 plants. The strain is green crack, indica. I have 2 26w 6500k cfl 1650 lumens per bulb. thats only for veg I will get bigger cfl's for flower. So it's a low watt grow, but I can only leave them on for 12 hours a day. So I put them up in my window when I leave for work. I would say they get about 5-6 hours direct sunlight per day. Is this ok? Will it harm my plant switching between cfl's and sunlight.

also dont let the plants touch the window because it causes condensation and can rot the plant

People will tell you it can't be done even after you've successfully done it. If it could be better then it's not good enough for them. I say fuck that. Good enough is a much larger and more forgiving category than anyone makes it seem. I've flowered under CFL, I've flowered under shitty chinese LED, I've even forced flower outdoors in February. Could those buds have turned out better with more perfect conditions? Sure. Were they dank as fuck and frosty like Hoth anyways? You're goddamn right they were. It can be done, and a little bit of Moxie will make up for a fuckton of perfection, in my experience. Keep at it, you'll do fine.

I've veg'd using 12hrs HID and supplemented with sunlight in the past. It's not ideal but you get by.

Here's my baby's on day 25. I opened a nice pay cheque yesterday so I'm getting some better equipment tomorrow. I'm getting an SJ grow tent, haven't figured out what size I want. Plus I'm picking up more cfl's (2700k) and some flower nutes. I have also decided to go with HID instead of LED Im getting a 250w system and some new seeds next cheque. I will post some pics of my new setup tommorow after a trip to the hydro shop.

That first one looks great!
If you are handy find some of that black and white poly and some 2x2's, more options that way, and instead of seeds, wait for those to stretch some more and look into cloning them!

I Got my tent, it's the ds60 from secret jardin 2x2x5. I have been using mg nutes, but not any more. I picked up some organic nutes and some ph down. The water I was using had a ph of 6.5 now i have it down to 5.8-5.9.

This is just the beginning of my setup, there's still so many little thing I need, But that will have to wait a couple weeks.

Yeah I would but in two weeks I will have a 250w hps system. Hopefully 4x26w bulbs will keep them alive until then.

You'll be fine, don't overwater, don't underwater, don't give nutes, put out in direct sunlight any time you can. Probably LST, then you'll have a nice microgrow once that gets there.

They will be fine until then. There are tons of noobs on this site that have a few grows under there belt and think they know it all and give out bad advice. Ignore the haters. You could flower them with a bunch of 20w cfl and get decent smoke. I've run 3 1,000 hps at once and I'm now switching to LED and auto flowers. Its really just a matter of personal preference. I barely smoke bud anymore and I just grow to sell so I can smoke mid grade and be happy. Its a learning experience and you're doing good from what I can tell. EBay has 250w switchable digital ballast for $65 but you still need a bulb, socket with cord and a reflector. I have a new spare 250w switchable ballast you can have for free but I would have to mail it to a safe address.

I think your gonna like the 250 for your grow, you get the nice tight nugs and should be able to pull 3-4 zips per grow once you dial in, perhaps more if your good...and it wont break the bank with the electric bill either...have you thought about the stink when flowering??? cuz it will stink.
