Yeah, I just found some nanners on one of my plants. It's my fault though as I knew this strain (S-LemonHaze x Vanilla Kush) had a tendency to herm (or self pollinate) but I started it anyway. Me not so smart, never risk your grow with known Katelyn Jenner.

ya smart idea green 217 i dont know a medical grower personal smoker triad biker italian that wants seeds in there buds lol the bean pushers here act like its cool and normal hype it up for free seeds. i dont care what ppl grow but i would hate to see some poor grower to lose a garden.

Great looking flowers though...full of resin by the looks of them. Sucks that they are full of seed unless of course you plan to use that seed.

whenever I had a nanner, it is still visible at harvest. who knows which one seeded this.

however, I am quite active at Sin city forum and am aware of certain strains that have some issues. Pretty much anyone who does their homework knows certain strains from any breeder carries risk, and the risk is worth it for some. SIn Mint cookes, tangerine power etc, buyer beware, but also the final product is stellar.



I avoid fem seeds like the plague. I like variation

hey here's an idea.for the grower/original poster,, if one or 2 herms is that upsetting/devastating to your whole operation.. .instead of trying to cut corners.. next time grow regs instead of fems!

going to sincitys forum and whining there too is really not gonna make things better.

also u did state tho u grew hundreds of strains.. did u do that 1 seed at a time like the powernap and expect those all to be keepers too?

How dare you buy fem seeeds and have any expectation of quality. What kind of "grower" are you?

It's remarkable how simply sharing a bad experience is somehow whining and worthy of ridicule and contempt, directed entirely at you, the grower.... Makes me wonder how they treat testers that have bad experiences and how this shit gets sold in the first place.

but again, it's all your fault.

Anyway, thanks for the info, it reaffirms my decision to avoid spending any time or money on sin city gear.

According to the information in this thread she is complaining about a single pheno...from a single plant.. I think thats the whining and ridicule your seeing

go hang out at Sin city forum and you will see Sin City takes this stuff seriously and stops breeding certain strains for this reason. SCS is a standup group, and there are 10 stellar grow reports for every herm report. Hermies are subjective to grower error as well.
No breeder is immune to hermies.

Subcool for example is BLASTED for herms, and he only breeds with true breed male/females. will never fem seeds. Tons of people blasting him for herms and I have grown out nearly his entire lineup and only Qleaner hermed, and it was probably my fault that round.

and feminized are prone to hermi versus true breed stock with 0 herm traits in lineage.

people always think light leak..... staking in rootball causs herms, so does too much defoliation, too cold of water, checking on flower during light cycle more than necessary, green light or not etc.

and then, there are strains that are just hermie factories. I am kind of curious as to why there hasnt been sin mint cookies for a loooooooooooooooong time. especially after being named strain of the year 2014 by high times.

could have sold hundreds if not thousands of packs. maybe reworking it with different dad?

sure lets base an entire opinion on the quality of one breeders work because of one bad pheno. sounds so logical.

u can dress it up any way u want it.. but that is basically what just happened here in this thread.

even the title of the thread is misleading..it says problems..(plural)
the only problem.. one bad pheno, one plant

i don't care what anyone says. making threads like this and insinuating an entire breeders line is shit, and that is what just happened.. all because they had one bad pheno from a FEM seed is pretty n00bish no matter how they make excuses for it.

thanks i feel exactly the same way. its wild look at all the powernap success stories to support the strain they sold to me

so true man if its in the genetics it simply shouldnt be bred. if a breeders fem seed herms dont release it. i have seen the problems with fem and regs from sin so not sure it matters lol either way i am simply a seed buyer that can buy any strains i want but most ppl have limited space and funds esp medical growers.
