Ok people happy halloween and I guess my trick or treat is the update! Il get right to business:



Been super busy with work and stuff so have not been as on the ball as I normally would be but never the less - she is looking good. Steady uptake, Meters all over the place though with PPMS. she is a bit of a weird one, the emphasis on easy does it with your nutrients applies to this girl she can tip over the edge very easily, I think it´s been wise doing the overall play it safe tactic with the feeding, flushes, res changes etc. I am going to bump her up though tomorrow though as bits of pale leaves appearing in places and the PPM is dropping significantly again with the water uptake. Had a bit of a scare also when my back was turned for 2 seconds an my 9 week old puppy decided to piss all over the plug timer lol

My RH is damn high 60%+ so I need to sort that out. Iv got 2 osciliating fans blowing upwards to the filter under and accross the canopy so air is not sat still. Cant really shell out on a dehumidifier what would actually make a difference, but I can improve the extraction if i get a controller and a bit of 150mm ducting. Temps are ok at 27/28c - If anyone wants to shed any light on lowering your RH 20% affordably and quietly in a 0.8m tent with 400w light - lemme know lol

With regard to you RH question. The only thing I can think of off the top of my head is to increase your rate of exhaust depending on what set up you are running. This might add other stress to the girls though.

Yer mate I got a 150mm fan kicking around spare. Just need a controller for it as its like a jet and I live in a flat lol Although I may have to just hook it up full blast short term- Donnt want any rotting issues in a couple of weeks.

Ok so I grew some balls and just hooked up the bigger fan on full blast and using the 125mm as an inlet now coming in at bottom of tent. temps now at 24.4c so happy chap there. RH at 57% from 71% after a few hours so that's a damn good start. Il give it a more fair test tomorrow when its cooled down a bit in there and its not pulling such high humidity down to begin with.

To get around the noise I got the box the fan came in, stuck 2 holes in filled with foam and also expanding foam once the fan placed in the box (ducting connected at each side). Decided to get insulated ducting and wow that makes a big big difference... So now I wait and hope there is no complaints of the noise. Seems pretty loud in the room but outside the room I would say it was probably the same noise as the 2 clip fans running in the tent so could be a real winner now I dont need those fans with a fresh air inlet now.

Nutrients got bumped up today to 35 bloom, 15 micro, 2 grow - 1000PPM bang on. So hopefully she will reward me for all the effort today and not be stressed lol

Nice! good to hear the RH is at a more manageable level.
Those are some great idea to reduce the fan noise. I might have to play around with those ideas myself as my fan is loud as all hell.

Theres some real good how to threads showing you methods like this just punch "silent rdk fan" in search or similar. Its still noisey but there is for sure a significant db drop putting it in a box. What you want is some 18mm ply or mdf. That will pretty much silence it as much as your going to get it, then the ducting really reduces that noise of air blowing down quite a bit too.

Pretty happy today. Conditions are much much better in the tent so it was worth the effort! Sat around 24-27.5c in temperature and 47-52% RH. I can now sleep at night again lol Nutrient uptake has been successful also. good 2.5/3 litres drunk and PPM gone from 1000 to 879. PH keeps going down though from 5.5 to 5.3. Sorts it out when I top up with water next day but usually I see the PH stay where it is or increase slightly..

Taken off the last of the lower leaves also and any unnecessary fan leaves blocking light in the canopy and she is looking pretty awesome now to me. Stretching definately come to halt (Thank god I probably had another foot at a push left before things would get tricky) - I will update with pics again later in week so it´s a worthy progress report - but its proper vigorous budding now!

Ok small update as was changing res before lights went off...

She is loving the improved environment and stronger nutes. PPMs now up to 1100 after last feed. RH and temps same as last post.. So here is the pics (pretty rushed so sorry if not the best, get the idea will update properly over the weekend):




Probably hard to tell from pics but getting frosty quite quickly... All looking promising anyway and stronger nutes has put some colour back into her.

So today I saw the PPM rise again to 1185 from 1100. Topped up with water and will flush tomorrow as shes had quite a big boost on nutrients the last 4 days haha

Currently waiting for my T5 light to arrive so I can get some perpetual grow action going on. Next strains will be TH Seed's Sage N' Sour, MK Ultra, and Nirvana's Black Jack.

Ok Update time and its probably close to declaring bud porn? or maybe another week... On week 6 as of tomorrow, really is getting close now:



She is on flush at the moment for a couple of days after PPM increase a little and was due for one anyway. She absolutely stinks and lots of resin production already. Only had time to dash in with the camera as Im usually stoned around 9pm so being punctual for taking photos is bit of an issue lol I will endeavor to get decent quality close ups in the week!

Its begining to feel a lot like christmas is coming now with resin like snow!! lol

hahaha yer I let it get the best of me about 6 years ago.. Now I just keep it simple with the one plant setup, does worry me sometimes when get a strain like this Skywalker Kush - which is generally a difficult strain to grow in terms of the deficiencies, vigorous stretching etc that all my eggs are in one basket, but hey ho. End of the day Its all I really need to do to keep stocked throughout the year and I struggle to manage my time efficiently anyway with working so much etc.

Yer it stinks a lot more than the tangilope I did before. Crazy difference. Hope it yields 350+ like it! Opening the tent for any period of time sends a strong smell into the house which seems to linger for ages lol
